Movie Night!
Who: Hajime and Anthony
What: Hajime is worried about the possibility of Anthony going a little stir-crazy. There is only one solution to this: getting Anthony out and about for a while. Movie night seems safest.
When: Tuesday night, because that seems like a dark and safe time to visit a movie theater with a zombie.
Where: A movie theater in a quiet part of town far from the Dead District, for Hajime's trying to avoid that place at the moment.
Normally, Hajime would have just taken his motorcycle on a trip like this. It was, in his opinion, faster than a car, even if it had just undergone a spontaneous paint job change. But this was different. He thought the drive might be more comfortable for Anthony--not to mention easier to hide the zombie--with an actual car. So he'd borrowed one from one of his cousins and tried to ignore the ensuing speculation that he must have a hot date despite his claims that he was going to see a movie with friends and there were too many of them for the motorcycle to work.
Hajime had picked a quiet theater that wasn't part of any mall on what should be a quiet Tuesday night, and he hoped there would be no trouble. There were lots of ways smuggling a zombie wearing a lot of winter gear into a theater could go wrong, but at least he could offer the far more pressing distraction of a giant roach in the lobby complaining that there hadn't been enough butter on his popcorn. (He decided against mentioning to Anthony that this was the best distraction he had been able to think up for a worst-case scenario.) Then again, if he played his cards right--how he hated that metaphor these days--he might be able to pass everything off as a promotional stunt for some zombie movie. Maybe a zombie movie with giant bugs. Bugs vs. Zombies. They could go down together.
They were almost to the theater. The moment of truth was at hand. Hajime glanced over at Anthony in the passenger seat. "So is there anything in particular you want to see?"

Just barely, from around the sides of the spacious hood he had on. Just barely opened his mouth to answer - which was to say, at this point, parted his teeth, more distinctly than anything else. Gave it another thought and twisted his back a little to be visible around it a bit more with a sheepish drift of his eyes aside off to nothing and snapping back and off again, piped a quick "No - ! It's uhmm."
..."Anything's fine" was what he thought to say, but figured it didn't matter. It was out of lack of knowing anything relevant to a decision and not equal knowledge weighing around the same, and one part satisfaction at being out, and an absolute uncertainty to act that'd render even trying potentially picking poison.
He was going to leave it in Hajime's hands, wherever perceivably appropriate - in a way that was in intent strictly respectful, not burdening.
Brows edged together slightly with a little of an apologetic cringe just the same.

By this point, the car was rolling into a parking spot. At least it was close. "You ready to do this?" He gave Anthony an encouraging smile. It couldn't be easy to go out and do this, but at least it was cold outside. Plenty of excuses to be bundled up to the point no one could easily tell you were a zombie.

No conscious mind for sentiment - just tension, that would and wound as the car rolled in place all the more taut.
Turned his head fuller-on once again when Hajime smiled over at him. Deer-in-the-headlights.
Turned for a split second out the window and scanned - appeared to be clear, at least for know, and yet at the same time he gave himself a mental whack for even looking that hastily, an acute chill below his baseline under the cover of the layering and a forceful swallow. Enough for him to duck his head into it - which he disguised as a nod, looking back over at Hajime.
"Er - I, er - I am," he said mustering up another smile - this one stronger, as was the quality of cringing.
Somewhat resigned - they'd come this far. Hajime has offered it, and he'd been absolutely grateful to take it, he'd trust it...

He got out of the car, went around the front, and opened the door for Anthony. "If anything happens, I'll try to get you a distraction. You just get out of there as fast as you can if it comes to that, okay?"

This was getting to sound like a mission. He doubted his ability to get out of anywhere fast.
He hauled himself - slowly, shoulder against the seat as he turned himself around, feeling at it with the other to stabilize himself - up to and through the door, found his footing, and pulled himself to a shaky rise.
Still came out of it with his back hunched little - shoulders tensed, he was going to need to force himself straightened out for as long as they were anywhere near being in the open, or anyone's line of sight...
"Thank er - " Voiced throat-clear. " - thank you for, ehm. -- Everything - ..." He managed, of distractedly, a little thin in tone - "testing" a straighter posture, flinging another couple of looks over the parking lot. Still was out of appreciation for inviting and attempting this much, and for that matter for the assurance - was going to take it to heart - of what'd hopefully not be necessary.

He smiled when Anthony thanked him. "Hey, I know how it goes...sometimes, you just need to get back outside for a little while."

Partly out of the still downright radiating anxiety; he wasn't going to let it sink in too terribly, still, all the more that that seemed to leave it sealed.
They were out, and would be out for a little while, and it was a good thing.

Of course, there was the matter of tickets to buy. Hajime figured he'd do all the talking. He wasn't bundled up quite as much, and he also wasn't a zombie. All he had to do was play it casual. "Two for..." Okay, what was not super-long, starting soon, and didn't look absolutely terrible? And no zombie movies, certainly. "...Hercules 2." There, good enough.
