[Kinda open] One last shot to see the statue before it goes down
Who: Tamara, Colette, Audrey, and if anyone else shows interest will edit them in.
What: Seeing (and also possibly touching) the snake statue in the Dead District
Where: The snake statue
When: Friday Afternoon
It probably wasn't the smartest plan Tamara ever came up with, but she really wanted to just do something more than sit and twiddle her thumbs and let others get hurt. This was something within her means to do right now and she had known others like her wanted the same.
She prepared well the day before. She stopped into a thrift store and got a pair of torn up looking blue jeans and a plain looking t-shirt and also a plain baseball cap to cover her hair and even went ahead and got herself a backpack from there as well.
Then she stopped by the student store and got some art supplies. Nothing too immense, just a sketchbook and some artist's pencils and one of those erasers that you can shape. She's also brought along a small digital camera. It's one that she can use without drawing too much notice, but takes decent and clear pictures as long as there is natural light. Her plan is to not stay there any longer than an hour, less than that if possible. Get in, get some pictures, get a close look at it and get out. If they can find some way to get a drawing without drawing too much notice, then they will. If not, they can sketch from memory and the photos.
Since everyone who expressed interest was a student, she set a meeting place on campus. She set it for outside one of the buildings and made sure to check that no classes would be starting or ending when they met. There's some benches off to the side and that's where she'll be sitting.

While Tamara has a few more curves than Colette does, she's still not extremely curvy and did at least make a bit of an effort to look boyish. But still, there's enough features with the both of them to recognize each other, just not so much to have distinguishing features.
But from a bench not too far off Colette will see someone in similar clothing wave a bit.]

She was still a bit in the distance and making her way over, giving the other pair plenty of time to talk to one another before she approached close enough to be acknowledged.]

She spots Tamara waving and waves back, getting up from her bench and swinging the bookbag over her shoulder as she begins to walk casually toward her. ]
Hello!
[ Oh wait her voice is still girly -- she lowers it a tad. ]
Erm - I mean, hi!
no subject
Hi! Not a bad idea there. [Tamara tries to lower her own voice, but hers is very distinctly feminine. She can only really get it to a range of not sounding like her normal self.] And that is likely the best I can do.

She speaks in a lightly amused tone. Well, when in Rome, as the saying goes. Audrey is carrying a sketchpad under one arm and adjusts it as she speaks, her own voice only vaguely convincing. She sounds more like a pretty boy than a masculine guy so...]
A little experimenting never hurts.
no subject
You both make such pretty boys.
[ She wouldn't be surprised if a couple of girls started following them because of Audrey alone. ]
Are we all set?
no subject
I think we are. I brought a digital camera as well in case we do have to leave quickly.
[She pulls it out of her backpack and it's one of the kind that looks more like a pen when looking at it from far away. They don't take the best of pictures, but tolerable when in natural light. With some photoshopping it will actually give pretty decent results and definitely improve upon what currently exists.]
We'll be taking the bus part of the way and then walk the rest. If asked questions we're doing a project for [She names off an art class and the professor for it.] on modern sculptures and their use in architecture. If we do this right, the story shouldn't be needed at all.

She nods lightly, taking in what Tamara says.]
You really have this all planned out.

[ And relieved. This could be dangerous, and the more careful they were, the better. ]

[Audrey laughs lightly then, deliberately resisting bringing a hand up to her lips. That's a bit too ladylike of a gesture.]
You seemed more like an artist somehow.
