Hi, everyone.

So that happened. I guess there's not much to say that hasn't been touched on already. It seems so quiet without the buzzing. I hope that wasn't one of you guys.

If it was, you should have said something.

[That's not all she wants to say to whoever did it. But it's the only thing suitable for polite company. A hundred people died.

She still suspects the enemy more, though.]

I was wondering, though, and something that happened during the quake reminded me: How often do two or more people receive related memories? Is anyone keeping track?

My grandniece and I share some common threads in ours. I'm not sure whether this is because we've a relation, or simple coincidence.

I have been, or at least trying to. I've also met someone that the other me knew, but we haven't had much in the way of matching memories, just that our other selves knew each other and were at least decently close.

When I first received my numbers, another person and I had the same exact memory flash between us. Since then, nothing similar to my knowledge.

We didn't get the same memory, but talking to someone about one of mine caused him to have an echo too.

I get the feeling there aren't many coincidences in this.

Does it happen often?

I don't know if I knew this person, but we remembered the same place. Maybe.

Actually, yeah. That was the thing that happened during the quake.

Yeah, from what I could see.

It did when we first met, almost constantly. Things have settled down since.

The same place? Somewhere you're both from, or that you've both been to?

I see. So you two are connected somehow.

So was this one. But I was inside, again.

Actually it kind of looked like a hotel room?

Assuming what I saw was the outside, I mean. There were rows of doors.

I'm not sure. We both remembered the name, but what we saw was different.

Drastically different or only a bit different? Differing interpretation might be at play here.

I remember it shaking bad enough the walls were crumbling. Way worse than the actual quake.

[It was more than a little alarming and disorienting to flash back to it in the middle of evacuating the building.]

Could be. I was inside and he was out, but I think there's more to it. His version sounded a lot older.

That'd be my guess.

Makes me wonder about other things. How much is coincidence.

Not much around here, as far as I've noticed.

[They were never all that convenient either, she was quickly finding out.]

My going to work at the same place- was that even my idea?
