What is this? I've been ignoring this number blaring in my head for long enough. I've just been trying to ignore everything going on in my head lately and it's been driving me more and more insane, more insane than the hearing and seeing things and the number I can't get out of my head already should make me.

So I give up. If all of you are really really real talk to me and I probably won't go see a psychiatrist, and then tell me what I'm even supposed to be doing, if anything. And if it's actually someone's fault come out with it and I probably won't kill you.

Excuse me while I go look at whatever you've all been talking about and if it's all in my head then maybe I'll write a story about all of it? Turn my crazy into cold hard cash.

Jury might still be out on that one. But regarding the numbers business, no. Or, if you are, you're in good company? I'm sure that isn't reassuring in any way.

So when you got the numbers stuck in your head, usually they come with something else. Like a feeling, or a memory or a daydream or something. Sometimes it feels like you get dizzy, or your heart beats really hard. They're called 'pulses'. Or 'echos', depending on who you talk to. They seem to be the common link between the Numbers Club--us.

That's how it starts for all of us. Usually it's something linked to your other self. I saw that you got the FAQ link, have you gotten a chance to read it?

Okay, so things aren't always so dire, but you do have to exercise a bit of caution around here. I won't say that we're actively being hunted, but we kind of are. The police presence has definitely gone up since I joined, and there are certain precautions you need to be sure to take. Like accessing the network in public. Probably should try to avoid it. It's good to have in an emergency, though, since any surface, when you write the number you have on it, can be used to communicate.

Things have been a bit dicey lately. I don't know if that page talks about the Halloween attack, but things have definitely been amping up steadily. That said, if you keep your head down for the most part, you'll probably be fine.

I'm not doing a very good job of making any of this sound good, am I? Hmm.

Okay, first of all breathe. In and out, a few times.

Things aren't as scary as I keep making them out to be, or as the FAQ makes it out to be. Yes, you need to be careful, but a lot of us are high schoolers like me. And there are other people on the network who want to and are able to help. You're life isn't in danger every waking moment, and you can live without constantly being in fear of that. You just have to be careful.

Now that i know it's real i'm not going too, god!

this is way too much careful for a bunch of high school students. this isn't supposed to be the scary careful part of life.

I just wanted to make it clear. In case anyone hadn't told you already. Just in case it hasn't been covered, you can forget everything if you go outside the city, but you might still disappear there.
