❧ 006 ❧ Text, word document
[The entry is blank for a few moments, as if Xander was hesitating and suddenly reconsidering making a post about this. Then again, he's at his limit, especially after his recent echo that happened in front of his parents during their stay for Thanksgiving.]
Is there a therapist or psychiatrist on here?
Is there a therapist or psychiatrist on here?

no subject
...Sure. I could probably use one.
[Although he had the non-alcoholic variety in mind. So, he turns to face Ray and move closer towards the doors.]
no subject
[Ray will be a bro and hold the door open and everything. But be awkwardly quiet all the way back to his apartment. That's what he does.]
So yooooou... feelin' any better?
no subject
Not really. [He shakes his head.] Although, being here is taking one thing off of my mind.
[It was better than nothing, at least.]
no subject
[Ray opens the door and immediately heads over to the fridge. Because that's where the important stuff is.]
I don't really have much right now. Beer, coke, whiskey, iced tea?
no subject
[He forces a bit of a strained smile to lips before following the other man inside the apartment, closing the door behind him. He takes a moment to take off his shoes and jacket, but pauses at the drink offers.]
Iced tea is fine. Thank you, Ray.
[Once he was done by the entrance way, he looks down at the floor as he walks. He doesn't want to step on the cat by accident.]
no subject
Yeah, no problem.
no subject
...So. How goes the search?
[He'll move to take a seat on the couch, not taking up any space like the last time he was here.]
no subject
Well, y'know. Stressful. I've got a few people helping me out, though.
no subject
[He looks up at Ray as he takes a sip of the iced tea.]
I hope the death threats have lessen a considerable amount.
no subject
[Ray just stares at the wall, sipping his beer for a second]
They have, but I haven't been on the network much. That's probably why, to be honest.
no subject
[He sips a little more of the tea before lowering the glass.]
That's good to hear, even if it means not interacting with the network. [A brief sigh.] ...How much are you going to tell them?
[He turns his head to look at Ray, frowning slightly. It wasn't intentional for him to keep bringing up the whole traitor situation, but it was a giant concern. He even considered approaching Nick about it, but he has no way of getting in contact with him and walking in to the station would be a bad idea all around. But, with his current state of mind and the buzzing, would make the situation worse.]
no subject
I'm only gonna tell them as much as people tell me I can. All Sherman asked for is names, anyway. I don't have to say much.
no subject
[He was asking more than he needed to and he brought a hand up to his mouth. Trying to stop himself from becoming even more reckless with his words.]
...Sorry. You don't have to answer any of that. I never meant to come over and bombard you with questions. I'm being a horrible guest.
[A bit of a chuckle escapes him, which causes him to bite down on the inside of his own lip. He really wish he could have a better grasp on these new personality traits. To be honest, he wouldn't be surprised if Ray already thought he was insane, especially after the request on the network about a therapist and a psychiatrist.]
no subject
[Ray was trying not to sound bitter about it. He really was. He knew he wasn't in a good position and he understood why people wouldn't trust him. A small part of him was pretty indignant, though. Here he was, uncomfortably close to the enemy and putting his ass on the line trying to play double agent, and all but a handfull of people were riding his ass about it. Hell, even some of the ones that did support him gave him shit about it sometimes. Not that he could blame anyone for it.]
This could end up backfiring on me horribly. I half expect it. I have more plans for dealing with that than I have for the actual... operation,I guess.
no subject
At this point, being prepared for the worst case scenario is probably for the best. But, you probably didn't need to hear that.
[A sigh is heard as he rubs his temples with a free hand.]
I guess I could come to your aid and get you out of there if you need it.
no subject
[Ray shrugged. He'd kind of come to terms with that fact a while ago. If he managed to survive this for more than a few months, he'd be pretty impressed with himself.]
no subject
...I understand.
[He falls quiet for a moment before getting up with the glass in his hand and places it by the sink.]
I hope you enjoy the doughnuts. I wasn't sure what flavor you'd like.
no subject
Oh, I will. Everything made of doughnut is delicious and amazing. You taking off?
no subject
[A small smile appears on his lips before he nods.]
Yeah, I am. I have a bit of a walk to get back to my place.
no subject
Gotcha. If you want a ride, just say the word.
no subject
[He makes a gesture of dismissal as he moves over to the entrance to get his jacket.]
You have a lot to deal with, so I don't want to be another thing on that list.
no subject
Up to you, though.
no subject
...Are you sure you don't mind?
no subject
[Ray hopped up and put his drink on the table before grabbing his jacket off the floor. That's where he keeps it.]
Gives me an excuse to get out of the apartment.
no subject
[He waits by the door before moving to get it open, taking care to watch for Cookie Monster, just in the case the cat wants to escape.]
I could pay you back for the gas.
