Who: The pursuit team of the Subway Sculptor hunting group - and the subway sculptor himself.
When: Nov. 23rd. Evening.
Where: An apartment complex hallway, residential area over an out-of-service subway line.
What: See what answers were wrung out of the fellow behind the statues!

He was caught, and he hadn't had a prayer.

They shouldn't have been able to track him in the subway in the first place, they shouldn't have been able to follow him here and they shouldn't have been able to - so systematically! - trap him like this, but here they were, on both sides, and they had to have had something.

It was the numbers. They couldn't have been with "No One", no, or they would've been on him by now, harder. They'd already be hauling him out.

This had to have been about the numbers.

He started one way. Then the other - couldn't run, no. No way to run out of grabbing reach, trapped, again, it was indeed. Looked them all over. An absurdly mixed group - at least two of them had to be kids, couldn't be with anything he thought he knew he was hiding from.

"I was," he said. Came out dry and too drifting to be abrupt. "I was supposed to find you guys."

They found him. He was supposed to have found them, he bet - hence the confinement. "No One" wanted them, too, and if only he'd been even a day or an hour faster...!
