Listen and be amazed!
[Looks like Thomas is up on the network again, this time he's moved a bunch of stuff so the area the camera is pointing is devoid of anything but him, the floor, and the wall behind him. He's looking quite excited today.]
It's happened! The echo I knew was coming ever since that action figure showed up. It's time, to transform!
[Thomas pulls his gun out from seemingly his back pocket before spinning it on his finger and pointing it to the ground and pulling the trigger.]
Grand Delusion!
[He's suddenly covered in red light before it fades revealing a slightly more heroic visage.]
The REDiant hero! AkibaRed!
... So! What do you all think? Pretty cool huh? I didn't quite remember how the full thing went, so I improvised and man, I think it worked pretty well.

[And he's about to say something else before an echo of his own kicks in. That sure is a memory of a guy using a card and a belt to turn into the red-armored bug-eyed thing he remembers fighting. And the bug-eyed guy had a gun, too.]
It's weirding me out that you're transforming with the gun and not a belt or something...the guys I fought had belts.

[It is on his desk though. Loves it fro a toy. It's so posable!]
A belt? Hm, no Sentai ever used a belt. Well, one used belt buckles. Usually it's cellphones with only two teams having used guns.

[He is sorry he mentioned it, though he has to wonder why Thomas is actually keeping the thing around as a toy if it carries with it the memory of almost dying...and the fact that he was responsible for that almost dying Echo popping up in the first place.]
All I'm remembering is transforming with belts. I used it, the guys I fought used them...the one I'm remembering had a gun, but he just shot me with it. It's all belts and cards.
[There is something deep within him that is almost insulted at the idea of transforming with anything other than a proper belt.]
