Look, I don't know what's going on here, and frankly, I don't want to know either. If I hadn't caught this stupid headgame off of Anthony, I am sure I'd be fine, but no he got his crazy germs on me and now I can't sleep because there is a scene out of a bad romcom playing in my head and I have headaches from repeating numbers that shouldn't mean anything. I am trying to keep my nose out of things and this isn't helping.

I know life-threatening circumstances can bring about repressed memories and that's all my sister has been saying all day, but that isn't what's going on here, and someone has to be messing with me. So I'd appreciate it if someone would tell me what is going on and how to get this to go away before I start feeling like I'm really insane and my mom carts me off to a nuthouse.

Useful things, both of those! Btw, my name is Julien. Sorry! I don't think anyone really knows. There's talk of us being "chosen", but no one really knows by who or for what. But each of us has some kind of counterpart who may be very similar or very different. The other you's world might be a lot like this one or amazingly unlike it, and if you stay you'll likely start getting things from them. Memories, items, anatomical features, weird talents.

That's a lot of information you know about him... How are you not freaking out? If people are mutating, after all, based on these other lives or whatever, then if he's "extremely not human," you're screwed right? If I understand what's going on. Which I don't.

Lol, well, I've been in on this since April when it started up. Figured out the nonhuman part pretty early. The rest has been coming in drips and drabs. I didn't find all this out in a big lump yesterday! Time makes adjusting easier, trust me here.

Time. Sure, time to adjust to being somehow connected to a dumbass whose daily life looks like it involves monsters and guys with green hair.

Pretty much! lol I know I'm being flippant, but it does help. Incidentally, I have blue hair. Dyed of course. It used to be black and I'd bleach it and dye it. Now it's white and I get to skip the bleach.

I'm with the camp calling them "pulses". "Echo" is just arbitrary. But yeah, it's not natural! It's very soft now.

Pulses. Whatever. If you like it, I suppose it's not that bad. But if my hair goes pink I am not gonna be happy.

I don't mind the hair, no. I've been dyeing my hair for years but you have to bleach it to get black hair to have another color, and if you do *that* too much your hair turns to straw, practically. Now it's all soft and doesn't even grow, so I'm barely ever having to put more in. [It's feathers. Simple, hairlike feathers. He'll molt in the spring.]

If it does turn pink, talk to me. I probably know more about dye than anyone else here.
