OPEN LOG
WHO: Colette and YOU! And you, and you. And why not, you too.
WHAT: Open tea parlor log! Come and get some delicious tea and glorious CR.
WHEN: Anytime within the past two weeks? If you'd like a specific date just throw it in the subject line.
WHERE: Posies Tea Parlor! Located near LCU, about 5-10 minutes walking distance.
WHY: Let's make some FRIENDS or something.
[ The past few months have been difficult, to say the last. For her, and for Locke City itself. The city she grew up in... even though lately she had these vivid, oh so vivid memories of a small town where all the children shared one school room - and a church, some deity that she didn't recognize, a house surrounded by flowers...
A place vastly different from Locke. A place that, in an odd way, she felt nostalgic for.
The shop is empty at the moment and deathly quiet as she polishes a pretty tea cup clean from behind the counter, blonde hair falling over her shoulders as she works. Every slight noise within a reasonable distance rings in her ears but it's no longer intolerable. The shelves and shelves of books around the parlor are somewhat disheveled; it's clear she was cleaning through them before getting distracted by the cups.
It's quiet, but the city is far from still itself, and after a moment she places the cup into the rack of variously colored and sized teacups and begins to sweep the floor. ]

Saturday, 11/23; Holly and Elly
Holding the door for the other person with her, she let it slowly close after her, looking around. It was pretty empty for that time of day, especially with the supposed cold snap they might be getting. She thought there would be more of a demand for tea.]
Where do you want to sit?
Saturday, 11/23; Holly and Elly
So we can people watch.
[She explains with a smile. Somehow her mother convinced her to wear a pretty light blue dress with white flowers at the bottom. It was meant to be a sun dress, 'This could be the last time you could get to wear it till next year!' her mom had argued before she'd given in- though Holly had snuck back into her room before running out to throw on white leggings under it since the dress stopped just at her knees.]

Please sit wherever you like! Welcome to Posies, I'm Colette, and I'll be your waitress today!
[ She smooths her skirt down and steps around the counter to bring them the menus. ]
Is this your first time here?
(Sorry I didn't get a notif for this)
I've been here before. Holly, you?
no subject
I've never been here, my friends have but not me.
[She'd always wanted to come here so it was lucky that Elly mentioned it.] There's so many options.

Looking at her, he brushes a lock of soft dyed nothair out of his eyes and smiles. Naturally, the nothair drifts right back, touching the bridge of his nose and half obscuring one eye.]
Colette! Hey. I haven't gotten a chance to talk to you in a while, how's my favorite pretty maid?
no subject
Julien! It has been a while, hasn't it?
[ Things have been... weird. But that's really nothing new, is it? She perks up and steps around from behind the counter to approach him. ]
I've been alright! Working again, and just in time for the holidays to start! How have you been? Would you like a drink?
no subject
I'm good! And I'd like whatever's closest to hand, I'm not picky.
[He doesn't need to turn his head or move his eyes to look around anymore, but he does it anyway, for appearance's sake.] You'd think you'd get more custom now that it's fall and getting cold and all that. Did I manage to miss the rush?
no subject
Whatever's close, that I can do!
[ Back over to the counter she goes, but she's watching him, fairly closely. It's mostly just thanks to previous experiences that she knows that while there's always something going on with all of them, Julien seems to get the worst of the crop the most frequently. ]
Hm... you're right, I guess it is a little strange! I suppose people haven't been much in the mood to stay out unless they have to.
[ Could they be blamed? ]
Hopefully it'll pick up soon -- if it snows, it definitely will. Snow does that.
[ She starts steeping a tea for him, just a simple black tea with a taste leaning to the more bitter side. ]
Sit down, sit down!

11/20
[So he stops in after school, hands in his pockets and a scarf covering the lower half of his face too mitigate the chill. He may have ice powers, but immunity to cold doesn't seem to be a thing. At least not yet.
[He pulls the scarf down from his face when he sees her sweeping up.] Oh, you're still in one piece.
[What are normal greetings?]
no subject
Oh, hello!!!
[ The broom is being abandoned now in favor of giving him a smoosh. He's missed these, right? Definitely yes. ]
It's been too long!
no subject
[So cue the usual squirming.] Hey, hey! How many times do I have to tell you not to do that? [Nevermind that if she didn't do it, he'd worry about her.]
no subject
[ ??????? Yes that was totally a great save, mhm. ]
Eheh...
[ She steps back before tucking some hair behind her ear. ]
I'm glad to see you.

Letting out a relieved sigh, the redhead steps inside as she tugs on the scarf around her neck, and with a swift turn to the left, she spots a familiar blonde from afar. Her amber eyes narrow at the recollection and— wait, could it be...?]
Colette?
[Saying the girl's name out loud in wonder, Regina approaches from where Colette stands and smiles a little.]
Hey there. Long time, no see.
no subject
[ Of course, she recognizes the other girl right away. How could she forget? She straightens up and smooths her skirt, hiding the broom away as quickly as possible. ]
Regina! It's so good to see you. How are you?
[ What a pleasant surprise! She walks over to the other girl, a little bounce in her step. ]
Would you like a drink?
no subject
I've been okay, thanks. And yourself? [A quick pause as she looks around.] Ah crap, you seem to be very busy. I hope I'm not distracting you or anything.
[Because she knows first-hand what it's like for workers to be distracted by customers, potential ones and otherwise, and the results aren't usually good. At the question, she nods affirmatively and smiles a little bigger this time once she spots a random table to sit on.]
That'd be great. Any drinks you can recommend to me?
no subject
[ Yes, Colette looks so pleased at seeing the other girl - it really is nice to see her, especially since things have been so... well. You know. ]
There are plenty I can recommend you! And no, you're not distracting me at all! There haven't been many customers, so I've been trying to keep busy cleaning. Better than standing around, right?
[ She grabs one of the menus and hands it to the other girl before tucking her hands behind her back. ]
Hmmm... what are your favorite flavors? That'll help me narrow it down! We have over eight pages of different kinds of teas; there's really something for everyone. And we have green teas, black teas, white teas, and green teas!
... Plus some hot chocolate flavors, those are new. For the winter season!

Friday 11/22; Zelos, Lloyd, Richard eventually!
Come on, come on! Quit dragging your feet, maybe you'll meet some cute girls, hmmm~♪? I'm thinking of your future here!
[Shoving Lloyd into this place, don't trip Lloyd, watch out for that door Lloyd, and that second step-- maybe traveling with Zelos is a little hazardous.]
no subject
But right now, Lloyd was doing his best not to fall flat on his face as Zelos pushed him into the shop. Huh, Lloyd was pretty sure he wasn't a fan of tea...]
I still don't get why I need to so badly that I couldn't stay at school! There are girls there, you know!
no subject
--Oh! She happens to recognize one of those boys. It's... it's the one she hit with her bike, oh goodness. The other she doesn't; perhaps they're... brothers? Best friends? They seem quite close! ]
Welcome to Posies! Please sit wherever you'd like!
[ A habit, you must greet every customer!! ]
no subject
[And he knows just where to start. Marching Lloyd up to a table near the cute blonde who greets them, he grabs them both chairs.]
I missed you hunny. Hello ♥.

11/22!
Well, not so much a break as doing something that should have been done earlier. It is time to have 'the talk' with Colette. She may not have been as fortunate as he to gain this information and, given how GODDAMN STRONG the effects of Cruxis Crystals were, this is information she needs to know.
Thus, at around noon, Mr. Locke stops by the tea parlor. Unlike the last time he'd been here, he actually looks well and not as though his stomach could wind up on the floor at any given second. Hmm maybe a cup of tea since he's already here couldn't hurt...]
no subject
Mr. Locke, welcome!
[ She doesn't bother to hide how pleased she is to see him. ]
Up for another cup of tea?
no subject
He gives her a nod in greeting.]
Please. [a beat] Also, when you have a moment, I'd like to speak with you privately.
[That conversation is the reason for coming here today, after all. Tea is just an added perk.]
no subject
[ Hm? Well... that's a little odd, but she certainly doesn't mind. After giving a quick glance around the shop, she notes there's no one hiding in the corners so they really are alone, and turns her attention back to him. ]
Okay. Is here all right, since there's no one around? Or should we go somewhere else?
[ She already has some tea brewed so she'll pour him a cup of that, burning herself a little because she's been a little extra clumsy as of late, but she manages to place the cup on the counter without anything breaking. Huzzah! ]
