What: A lecture! And maybe more idk

[Zelos couldn't make it every day or every class, he did have a life that demanded much of his time. But he did show up today! How this was even being allowed, who knew; the school wasn't doing anything to keep him out and he was going out of his way to make certain he didn't warrant it. Not that there wasn't talk, but well there was always talk about Zelos. It was sort of inevitable.

Walking into Richard's class just as his fourth period group filed out, Zelos raised a hand in greeting.]

Yo! What's up little brother~♪.

[Richard was just in the middle of getting his notes prepped for the next class when that familiar voice suddenly reaches his ears. Glancing in that direction only confirmed that his hearing isn't failing him at his old age. ...How does he keep on getting let in here so easily?

...Maybe the little nickname makes some of his irritation with Zelos vanish. The last time someone had called him that was 14 years ago and it feels nice to hear it again.]

You realize I'm older than you. [a beat] And one of your potential lovers according to the tabloids.

[He was all set to make a joke about Richard's wrinkles, but that last comment has him pulling a face.]

What can I say! They just don't understand my love of...chemistry.

[Yeah. That's why he's here sure. ...He hates chemistry.]

Why did you have to be a chem teacher again? You could have been a dancer. Or a bus boy!

[Maybe Richard sighs softly at the list of potential occupations.]

All the strip clubs I applied to weren't hiring at the time.

[Said in a complete deadpan. Chemistry is fun, gosh. He may not be a real teacher of it, but it's still fun!]

Now, care to offer up an explanation for the other rumor not having to do with your love of chemistry?

[Zelos takes his customary seat. Hm, hm. Is this a lecture? He's not quite sure yet.]

What's there to explain? It is kind of strange for me to come here so often. Not that I'm going to stop. [He looks at Richard.] Even if you kick me out.

[So. He's not going anywhere. Being here is too useful for picking up information; though he's not going to say that. Maybe he just really, really likes the NC and feels lonely, right?]

If your girlfriend's mad about it she's got one hell of an imagination. No offense, but you're kind of a stick ♪. Even I can't see you cheating and that's saying something.

[As much as Richard would love to chat about his non-existent love-life, now isn't the time for it. Information needing be found out comes first; potential joking around and waltzing around the topic of romance can come later.

When Zelos sits, Richard walks over to the wall closest to the seat and leans against it. His eyes are firmly focused on the other man as he speaks. It's a clear sign that he wants an answer.]

I meant in regards to your supposed underage romance.

[To Zelos's credit he only looks surprised for the slightest moment; it's gone nearly the instant it appears.]

What about it? They are tabloids. The writers have to eat too you know! Don't tell me you take these things seriously. You're a little old for that, aren't you?

[The age commentary fails to make Richard' serious expression lighten even the teeniest bit.]

I don't, however other people, the girl's parents or law enforcement especially, may.

[Getting off child molestation charges is not easy if they prove true. A year before legal age still counts as illegal and all that jazz.]

[Is this care or a threat? He's already heard all about this from his troupe. Not that he needed to; he knows all this. There were reasons for why he did what he did.]

Well. Everyone needs an excuse to do their job. As a celebrity I provide it. [His tone is even more flippant, but a scowl creeps across his face unwillingly.] You're awfully worried for a girl who doesn't even attend your school.

[The scowl gains a sigh in return. Much as Zelos may believe he's talking to someone of a similar age, it in reality resembles a parent lecturing their kid. No doubt any adult would be unhappy being treated like a kid, but it has to be done.]

I am worried as much for you as I am for her, if not more so. [He means this.] A slightly tarnished reputation can be easily fixed; a reputation as a child molester not nearly so easily so.

[He's quiet at that. If this were anything, but in person he'd just play it off. He can't hide the distaste, even insult, on his face though.]

...I have nine siblings. It was just Numbers stuff; I'll admit I was a little desperate. [He shrugs, usual confidence coming back full force.] But things are different for me; I have a lot at stake here you know. Still who knew you were such a worrier! I'll keep your good graces in mind from now on ♪. Promise.

[Maybe he frowns a bit at the distaste, but makes no comment on it.]

Just be more mindful of your actions in the future, that is all I ask.

[He looks Richard over. Is that it? Is this really it?]

....You know it's bad form to only take half responsibility for something. [Or people. Words are just words; if there's no action behind them they won't get far. He does sort of wonder where all this is coming from; isn't their association entirely one-sided? But maybe it'd just be troublesome to have a guy with those kinds of rumors hanging around the school.] ...I'm really not the brightest, but I'll work on it~.

[The comment gets a stare from Richard. He says nothing for a moment, before sighing as he starts to rummage through his papers. Fifth period was going to begin soon and multitasking talking while prepping stuff is totally doable.]

Playing a fool does not in fact make one a fool.

You obviously don't read the articles about me enough. [It is extremely rare they exalt him for his intelligence.] So what are we covering today Mr. Chem Teacher?

I prefer to base my judgment of a person on what I witness them do and not what the tabloids opt to exaggerate they do.

[A lovely stack of papers get pulled out.]

And today is a test day.
