So I've been thinking. I got this thing back when the fake-quake crap was just starting at Tuning that can read a MtG-type card that came with it and project a hologram of the monster on that card.

Anyone up for trying to figure out how to use that tech to make something that can project holograms onto people? It'd give us a leg up on the masquerade, especially for those of us who are having big changes physically.

Neato. That'd help a lot of people if we could make more of them.
not_good_not_wicked: (Izzat so?)

You think it could do that? That'd be super handy.

Also if you do I'm preemptively calling dibs on one.

Stupid reasonable objections. Okay fine I guess that's fair.

Might get kind of sticky when you'd have something not quite human shaped under there if someone were to touch it. Like if I were in my bug form but had a hologram of myself projected over me and someone brushed against an antenna or something.

Still much better than the alternative.

Yeah. I hope no one else gets stuck without some sort of transform card of their own.

It could work for little things like eyes and ears, at least.

Definitely. And it wouldn't have involved needing a U-haul.

It's worth a shot if you get the right technical types in on it.

Hopefully that works out better for him than his car's paint job. At least you've got a team in mind.

Considering the way he reacted when I told him that even if he repainted it, the original paint job could probably find some way to magically appear, I would imagine so.

You'll have to work your way up to a new one, I'm afraid. But good on you for having something that can help out. I'm sure you'll make Card-Weaboo in no time!

Takes one to know one, crybaby.

Anyway, what do these special holograms do? They just images?

[personal profile] indy_wannabe 2013-11-06 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
Does it have to be cards or can you feed it other images?

Who in their right mind would create an elaborate holographic system to project a TCG? I mean Magic is huge and all but it's not THAT profitable.
