[A few hours later, the video flickers on with the blond. She looks a bit more than a little frazzled, red-and-gold tie loosened and white button down shirt looking a little dirty.]

Okay, now that we've gotten a bit more of a handle on things. All of us are okay. I'd say there were about 30 people present, not all of them were there for the actual attacks, nor did everyone fight. Happened approximately around 10:15. It didn't seem like anything from the records. This thing... it was like it could control shadows and, by proxy, use them--or some kind of strange rocky grass extensions--to animate objects and take them into itself. No specific weakness. I'm wishing I had thought to take a picture but, well, heat of the moment.

Some of us are staying here to try to relax and get patched up, courtesy of Rachel. I know it's not much information, but can anyone try to cross-reference, see if we can figure out what this thing is? Thanks.

I'm... going to get some rest. I'll try to report back again in the morning. ...Stay safe, everyone. I think this goes without saying, but we're probably going to be on high alert at least for the next few days as news comes in.

[For those people staying the night at Rachel's, Luci will be moving between people with whatever medical supplies happen to be on hand, doing what little she can to help. If your character was hurt or shaken up in any way by the event, expect a visit from her. She won't stay long with any particular person, and she seems to be actively seeking out a few people; in particular Brook and Rachel.]

I told her someone had showed up to the party with the flu and you got it bad before they could be sent home. I said you weren't the only one and that the chaperons had their hands full, but a few of the girls who got it were going to be staying here tonight since moving is not a terribly good idea. Also I'm not here as far as she knows I already went home so I told her I'd try to get a hold of you or the chaperon and let you know she's trying to get a hold of you.

I kind of implied you were puking your guts out too. So, uh, sorry.

[She puts a hand on her forehead.]

My mom is a nurse, and you told her it was the flu? You realize that takes 2-3 days to hit, right?

[She sighs deeply. Now she REALLY didn't want to go home. Looking down at her phone, she stops... then turns it off.]

Oh. Look at that. I think my phone died.

[She doesn't look too keen about any of this, but after tonight, this is the last thing she wants to deal with. She deflates a bit, leaning against a wall.]

[She leans her head back, taking a deep breath.]

Not me specifically. Rachel's party. Don't worry, everyone is relatively ok.

That's just it. At first I was terrified, but then once I found out I could fight, it was like... it felt so natural, like this is what I'm supposed to do. I can't go back to a normal life. Not after this. Fighting with you and the others, being able to protect people... it feels right, right now.

I'm just glad I could help in some way. I was beginning to feel a bit, well, underwhelming to be honest. Who would have thought grabbing something to defend myself in case that thing got close enough would have solved that problem.
