Where: A haunted house of some sort
When: Wednesday night (10/30)
What: It's time for round two of "is this a date?". This time it's at a haunted house.

[haunted houses aren't really soren's thing so much, but aria seemed really into halloween and he wanted to hang out with her again so it seemed to be the logical thing to do. it had taken some convincing but he had finally gotten his dad to agree to let him go out, and so now they finally were going, the night before halloween. of course his dad had to drive him, but it was fine, he still got there on time to meet up with aria. he isn't wearing a costume or anything, just something plain and clean and that doesn't look too terrible with his bright blue cast. not that he normally cares but he doesn't want to look too stupid when he's hanging out with aria...

so yes anyway here he is waiting at the haunted house for her. i'm sorry for being so terrible at log starters]

[ Shockingly enough, Aria isn't wearing a costume either! But then, it isn't quite Halloween yet. ...Though she is very Halloween themed. From a Jack Skellington t-shirt to little dangly skeleton earrings to skeleton tights and a black skirt. Obviously the best meet-the-father outfit ever, right?

Aria just really likes Halloween. It's fun! And haunted houses? Yes please. She fully expects people to jump out at her and stuff. That's the fun part. ]

Ready? I think we get to go in next. [ Well, they normally let groups in with little pauses, anyway. YEAH. ]

[hey it's a totally fine meet the father outfit. at least for soren's family. his dad doesn't stick around long though, really he leaves as soon as he sees that yeah soren actually is with a girl and not with davin, and then all is well.

anyways, soren totally picks up on how excited she seems and it's a bit contagious, so he's definitely grinning.]

Yeah, I'm ready! You think it's actually gonna be scary?

[ Aria is well known for her not-being-Davin quality. It's amazing.

She shrugs at the question, not too concerned with it. ]

Maybe! I mean, it depends - sometimes the tricks are a bit too obvious. But I think it's fun either way.

[ ...she's a little hard to frighten, honestly. ]

[that's probably a good thing. soren doesn't really want to date davin.]

I'm still not really sure what's fun about people in costumes jumping out at us. But I believe you.

That's not the only thing that happens! There's also, you know, spooooky decorations.

[ Yes, she did draw that out and do a little hand wiggle. For demonstrative purposes. ]

Are they really that spooky?

Well, I don't know - I've never been in this one. But I've been to some pretty neat ones before. Last year Mara scared the heck out of one of the workers, though - that was sort of funny.

[ Aria helped!

And they're being waved in now, so she'll go towards the door, cheerfully. ]

What did she even do? [because that sounds pretty awesome actually. and yeah he is right beside her as they're ushered in.]

She's very, very good with stage makeup. And when we got snuck up on, and turned around, the effect was...very hilarious. And also probably a bit mean, but y'know.

[ HALLOWEEN EXCUSES ALL. ]

[he's totally laughing at that] Man, I wish I could have seen, that sounds hilarious. And it's totally not mean to scare people on Halloween. Even if they're a worker.

Unfortunately we didn't catch it on camera but...you never know! Maybe she'll feel the urge to scare someone again sometime. I can't predict her whims all that much.
