I've been trying to identify the sword that I found appeared I obtained yesterday in the Dead District... It looks like a seax (or "scramasax"), which were used in medieval Europe during the first millennium. In the vision that I had when I first knew the network number, I'd been told to bring a scroll to Charlemagne, who was emperor of the Holy Roman Empire from the 760s to 814 C.E. (unless it meant a different Charlemagne who no one remembers).

I don't know if it's more likely chance or if whatever is at work means it to coincide, and besides. And I don't know weapons well, and can't know it's absolutely a scramasax. I shared it still in case it was interesting to anyone. Thank you.

Yes, I do... It's just a shortsword, but it is still a sword!

I don't mind. I don't expect that many people do, especially when it comes to swords, and such old types at that.

At least ideas, sensations, and memories-that-aren't-memories are just what they are - it's not so hard to wrap one's mind around their unprecedented appearance in a person's abstract thoughts. But what way is there to describe a real, tangible sword materializing from the air in your hand?

He almost starts with "No" - but no one can know that these things aren't being "given", at this point.]

I've heard a little bit about people finding things.

Is that what happened? It just appeared?

It did. We were handling weapons as practice on Sunday to get ready for if we found the "werewolf." The sword I was trying slipped out of my grip, and the other one was in my hand in the next second.

Yes, I'm all right. ["Not hurt" wouldn't be entirely honest, but he's no worse for wear, thankfully.] Thank you.

You haven't been in any trouble, either, have you?

None so far! Things have been very normal for me.

I'm only in high school, but it -is- a subject I like.

I don't have very particular plans. I'm most likely going to LCU, and I am thinking about choosing history as my major, but I don't know toward what career.

Why? [He was hesitant to write that, as he knows fully well there doesn't need to be a reason, but he's bound to wonder whether or not there is, anyway.]

I still have some of dad's books on medieval weaponry, I can bring one in to check.

I'd say bring it to school so I can see it, but somehow I think even you'd get in deep for it.

You have books on medieval weaponry? [There's a nice and complete surprise - though given the miscellaneous knowledge Bakura does seem to have, perhaps he would've indeed been the right person to ask after Capt. Mass.]
