Who: Pierce Asher
purity and Kaworu Nagisa
shouldertheburden
Where: Dead District
When: Evening 10/22
What: Guys with useless powers versus living snake statues. Party on.
[With more strange things going on lately, Pierce once more feels compelled to be a more active part of things. It's not really that he's got special skills or strengths, aside from his voice apparently, but that doesn't negate a need for effort. Not in his mind, anyway.
Maybe if he can come up with some information, that can benefit the others.
So he parks his car a respectable distance from the Dead District and makes the remainder of the trek on foot. He's not entirely sure what to expect, except that there are apparently some very weird statues, but he's on his guard. Perhaps too much so, since every little thing makes him jump and turn around.
He's determined to not be a liability here.
He sure hopes he won't be]
What area was it..?
[Pierce mumbles to himself as he makes his way along, partly to drown out his own unease]

Which is why he practically jumps when he hears someone else walking around, gasping out loud due to being startled.
Not daring to look over his shoulder and see who it is, he panics. If that was someone that isn't one of them, this is going to look incredibly suspicious.]

Hearing that person make a sound though, that does grab his attention. It's a surprise finding someone there - well, someone other than those random creeps people keep mentioning.
Assuming this guy isn't a random creep since he doesn't seem like what people described.
...Unless everyone has really contrasting views of what constitutes a creep.
But then Pierce considers that he might've startled this guy, and he might think someone's following him or something. He can't very well allow that kind of misunderstanding]
Ah... Sorry if I startled you.
[That works, right? He sure hopes so]

It's-- it's fine! I was just going on a walk, and... t-took a wrong turn, so... [Nervous laughter.] ...I don't wanna run into one of those statues!
[He realizes a little too late that bringing up the statues wouldn't help him hide his numbers club status if this guy really is trying to creep on them...]

Only people on that strange network would be aware that the statues were anything more than arguably tasteless artwork. At least, as far as he's aware. Otherwise he's pretty sure it'd be all over the news.
Even so, was it possible there was some alternative case? Maybe this guy overheard someone...
Belatedly, Pierce pushes those ideas aside. He's over-thinking everything lately, he's fairly sure]
I suppose that wouldn't be ideal, no. This area's not the safest even without those things though, I think.
