[Text] Backdated to earlier in the day.

[Somebody's had a rough day after being blasted awake early in the morning. Almost literally. Vanessa's apartment was close enough to the Dead District that she had felt the floors shake during the blasts and the windows rattling.

Now she's sitting a good distance away from her apartment with her emergency bug-out backpack on and finally getting around to taking a look at the network.]

Okay does anybody know what the fuck that was all about? I tried to get a closer look but there's cops all over the place. Probably going to have to stay out of the area until this cools down.

I swear none of you better be behind this one.

[ she's been hearing stuff all day at work, and she's taken time to read up on it during break. there's information, but it feels lacking. ]

What about those snake statues?

It sounded like they would be hard to ignore, visually speaking at least.

I can't wrap my head around what's happening at all. It does make it sound like some sort of other party is involved on top of Thunder Corp. If they wanted the land for something, one would assume there'd have been some kind of... announcement.

[ and she's in the camp where it still sounds weird to be including thunder corp in all of this to begin with ]

I've been seeing a lot of those policemen with the strange dogs around, too. They don't come into the library, but they walk up and down the street... well, it is right downtown. But they smell... off. The dogs. I avoid them as best I can for the smell alone.

I wonder if they know what they're looking for? I don't like the idea of someone else knowing more than we do. [ and this whole superhero business is nonsense given her "past" ]

An explosion would warrant bomb-sniffing dogs. It might not make sense as part of their duties but most people won't question it. I don't think they'd take seriously anyone that would. Or they'd be ordered not to.
