The secrets of Stein's Gate continue to unravel, bit by bit. It would seem that, if my memories of this other life are to be trusted, I was some sort of game duelist - if the grandeur of the venue of combat is to be considered, one of great skill and infamy. Indeed, I wouldn't be surprised to hear that I ranked globally.

Why, though? What purpose do these memories serve? Are they clues, to be used in preventing some future catastrophe in this world? Or are they simply the blind muttering of senile gods, showing us a window into a world with little bearing on our own?

So many questions, yet the answers I seek remain elusive. The time of the Gate's opening remains out of reach. El Psy Congroo.

In a weird sort of way, that's a relief. I'm remembering cards on top of everything else. You're lucky you're not in for this mess.

So what kind of combat did yours have?

Unfortunately, I've yet to remember the rules.

So it was just confined to the game, then? Nothing boiling out into a real-world scenario with actual fighting?

Anything is possible! My memories are far from complete.

I am no stranger to the battlefield. For years, The Organization has sent their assassins to silence me, but time and time again I overcome.

...if you were seriously in danger of being assassinated over a normal board game, that's messed up.

At the world championships, with millions of dollars on the line, there's nothing too unexpected about the prospect of foul play.

That's still kind of messed up. I mean, you've got business deals going on all the time with no one getting killed over it.

[There's a pause.]

That we know of, anyway.

That's because the ten richest corporations in the world are all controlled by The Organization!

...so it's a massive board game murder conspiracy?

[Because, hey, if the Organization controls everything, then why murder its own people?]
