Second Bullet; [Video | Mirror]
Alright, I give.
[Akito is sitting in his seat, arms crossed, with a cardboard box to the side on his desk. For those that have seen him before, his eyes seem a little... different.]
Does anyone know anything about contacts? Specifically, colored ones. I got some cheaper ones, but they hurt my eyes and I can barely see. I don't know how else to explain to my parents about my new eye color - wearing colored contacts to make them this color is a little too weird. I doubt they'd buy it.
[He's spent too much time testing their limits to know what will and won't fly. And speaking of flying...]
Also, has anyone noticed all the sick birds around town? I haven't heard anything about the sickness, but this guy was sitting outside my door when I came back today.
[It's here that he picks up the box, tipping it just enough to show a very still bundle of feathers covered in part by a towel. He gently puts a hand on the cloth and reaffirms that it is indeed still alive when it gives a weak flutter in response. Satisfied, Akito will set the box to the side again.]
I'm not really sure what to do with it. It definitely looks diseased, but I've got no idea if it's something humans can catch or not.
[He leans back thoughtfully before saying one last thing.]
Hey-- Nick, right? Sorry, I got kind of busy. Would you still be up for lessons sometime?

theyre not like super comfortable especially after all day at school but they work.
or sunglasses.
Perma Video
Sunglasses indoors could be kind of difficult to explain, but if I want to be able to see I might have to use them after all...

I wish I could help, but, well. I guess I'm in the same boat as you.
I knew this was going to happen, so I thought I was prepared, but I guess I should have been more careful about picking out contacts.

it could be an issue of a bad fit
also an optometrist can help you find a brand that you like
and i hadnt been aware of the bird issue
perhaps call a vet? :/?
Permavideo
I noticed a few around the park, but I didn't really think about it until I found one sitting in front of my house. It didn't look like it could even move that much.
If it comes down to it I'll see if I can just drop it off at a vet. They're probably better for handling it than I am.

Different hair doesn't seem so bad in comparison.
Are you okay? [He'll address the bird issue in a minute.]

[Regina asks in bewilderment, and she has to backtrack for a moment to remind herself of what happened this afternoon. Soft and weak cooing from a small flock of pigeons instantly sparks a look of realization across her face as she combs her fingers idly through her red hair.]
You know, I did stumble upon a few of them right by my apartment. They were barely using their wings, and I noticed the tips of their beaks were brown.
[She shakes her head with a pursed frown.]
I didn't bother to touch them in case whatever they have is contagious.
I guess I kind of thought for a minute it might be related to this number business, but... [In reality, that's probably his paranoia speaking up.]

...Sick birds, huh?

But yeah, I've been seeing a few of them around the city lately. This is the first time one's crashed in front of my house, though.

Oh and the weird eyes thing is super-common, apparently. At least they aren't red.
Video
And yeah, I guess so. I just wish it wasn't such a weird color of blue - at least explaining it away as contacts would make a little more sense.

Are your eyes okay though? [...Wait.] Besides the freaky color!
[Then a pause and...] And your parents haven't seen the bird, have they?
video;
Mom and Dad are still at work, so I have a while to figure out what to do with it before they get back.
