[Vanessa pops up on the network, sitting at the table in her apartment. In front of her is a few key cards, a switched off laptop and a computer hard drive.]

Well, I said that I'd come back with an update after we hit the Thunder executives' houses so here it is. We didn't get much, just a few access cards and some computer stuff that I thought to grab. The cops haven't kicked my door down yet either so I guess that's a good sign.

I don't know anything about this computer crap but the laptop has a password on it so if anybody could... I don't know, hack it or something, maybe we can still get something.

[OOC: The thread's still in progress but since I got the info on what there was to find and confirmation that nothing catastrophic will happen, I figured I'd better put this up before too much time passed.]

There's an easier way than hacking it. All we need to be able to do is see the contents of the hard drive, so we place the hard drive in another computer as a secondary, and it would bypass any passwords. Only would be a concern if they actually encrypted the data, and most people don't think of that.

[Yeah, see, right there. She knows what all of those words mean but when you put them together into those sentences she just stares for a couple of minutes.]

So you can hack the computers?

Yes, I can do all that. Won't even take long to get the data off it so you can get rid of the evidence.

...so, you got key cards and computers? I guess that's all you really could get -- setting monsters loose in the city isn't exactly the kind of work you bring home with you.

I guess maybe we could copy some security codes or something off the cards? And I don't know what's on the computers yet, so maybe we can get some work stuff off that.

Hopefully it's not just a bunch of weird porn or something.

[A snort of laughter.]

I mean, that's their home computer, right? You're probably gonna find some porn.

Probably.

[And then a bit of laughter of her own.]

Maybe if it's weird enough we can use it to make him look bad.

[ He's. Hesitant about this. But he might as well try putting his new found skills to use. ]

I might be able to help with the... computer stuff. I'm not fully sure just how far my, uh... skills go, since I gained them from a Pulse, but I could have a look.

[Ah, good, more people who know this computer junk.]

Do you think you can hack stuff if it's encrypted?

I don't know. Maybe. I wouldn't be surprised.
