How attentive are your parents? If they're lost in their own little worlds, you can usually just wait until they're especially distracted and then just walk out the front door. If they're more alert and you have to spiderman out the window, put some kind of music on first to cover the sounds. Make it kind of loud but not so loud that they'll come knock on the door to tell you to turn it down, because then the jig would be up.

I think making up a legit reason to leave is my best bet.

If you don't want to get caught afterward, first you have to have a idea about how long you'll be gone. You need to find a way to make sure no one is going to notice you're missing.

Go around dusk if you can. If you leave too late people will wonder why your running around, which might be enough that a) someone will remember you or b) call the cops. If you're out at dusk and some one stops you you can say you were heading home.

To get out of your room go to a home improvement store and get one of those fire safety ladders that roll up. Make sure to buy a metal pole or long piece of wood so you can take it down once you're out side. If you leave it up, you're asking to get caught.

Just don't do anything stupid that will get you caught.
