I’ve read that the little light show has happened before. I don’t suppose that anyone would be willing to give a few details about the initial incident, would they?

okay after the water poisoning which i think was mentioned in the faq
a bunch of us stalked the reservoir and found that pink stuff was being dumped in it
recently a bunch of people tipped off the media to the dumping thing and so the tap water is once again (?) safe to drink
and i know some people broke into the houses of thundercorp execs recently
i wasn't involved in that so can't give details
we also went down to the mines again, to follow up on the sage of the earth thing
although we knew once we were heading down there that it was bs and were just investigating
there was a buzzing down there
and now there's a buzzing up here
there is a lot of buzzing involved in things i guess

Ain't so sure how much I could tell you about the lights last time, though. I kinda thought I was baked out of my mind when it happened, but... a lot of us got this weird urge to use the numbers the last time it happened. Like, they'd just been this weird thing we remembered before that, but after the lights they got stuck in our heads worse than even Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious ever did.

Something like that, yeah. I mean, I'd first remembered them about half a year earlier, but wasn't 'til the lights that I found the network.

And I ain't sure what these new lights've changed. The flash-echo-whachmacallit that I got was pretty normal, as these things go - just this castle hanging in the air, which ain't so bad compared to some stuff. But there's the noise, right? Like... you know, buzzing in your ears, getting stronger or fainter depending on where you happen to find yourself?

Ugh. Why does everyone want to talk about the light show?

An aurora normally occurs under very specific circumstances.

A collision between charged particles and atoms within the thermosphere.

This city quite simply lacks the necessary components for a natural display.

I'd care more if I'd seen it, I bet.

Could you possibly spare a few details on what has occurred, if anything, following this light display?

Understand that creatures dubbed "grues" appeared shortly afterwards. Don't know if you've read FAQ yet, but can find relevant information there.

[ Jason's taken to hanging out on the network in the background, browsing it during lunch or whatever, because that sort of helps it feel more normal. Not that he has a problem with weird, but 'phantom memories about past lives we all may or may not have had' is kinda pushing it.

Hey, we aren't all teens. There's a large population of lazy college students too.

As for the last lights, I saw them when I first moved here. I saw them and next thing I knew I had a scarf around my neck that I didn't own before.

I did say mostly teenagers.

College students could still fall into the category.

Assuming that they began attending following straight on from their previous education.

Though that's really neither here nor there.

Well it's less the scarf and more what all these weird things cause. Echos, pulses, whatever you want to call them. They either cause memories or physical things.

I didn't manage to see the first set of lights myself, back in April wasn't it?

I was down in Ocean City on vacation, and managed to miss months of this place. It's kind of disappointing.

Anyway, if you want to investigate the lights or the tower or anything I'd be happy to go with you guys.

If records are to be believed, the lights were indeed active near the beginning of April.

We were still in England at the time. Still, the past is in the past. And now we have a fair amount of time to make up for.

If you wish to come along, you are welcome to do so.
