[CLOSED]
Who: John Smith/The Doctor and Aria Megido/Aradia Megido
Where: John's apartment
When: September 23rd, afternoon
What: Echo/Pulse talk!
[ It's been quite some time since they met up at the library to talk things over, but John's a busy man and he can't help that he gets drawn into books when he actually has time off and before he knows it he needs to work again. But now he's remembered to get a hold of Aria, finally, and he's setting about making tea in preparation.
He'd have suggested to meet at the library again, but it's probably not the best of ideas to discuss all this in details out in the open. Supposedly people can't hear things when they talk over the network, but that says nothing about them talking about related things off the network. Even if it's supposedly not the best of ideas to give away your own personal information like that to anyone... eh. You take those risks with people who aren't a part of the "number club" anyway.
Aria's like any other guest, and so tea is a requirement. ]

Aria, for her part, wasn't at all shy about accepting the invitation. Discussing things with people who wanted to discuss things - well, that was a way to get things done! And learn things. She wanted to help as much as she could, and this was part of that.
So she'll ring the bell around the time she's meant to be there, prompt as ever. ]

The water's boiled and ready and plenty of tea options out on the counter top (fruity ones in the midst!) when John heads to the door and opens it for her. ]
Hello! Come in, come in.
no subject
[ ...She's probably the only kid on the network who does that, but it's automatic when speaking to Actual Adults. Polite address. ]

[ But he appreciates it, which is obvious.
He closes the door behind her, pauses there for a moment, and then clears his throat. ]
Sorry about the police box in the living room, by the way.
[ Not something one says every day. ]
Make yourself at home! There's tea in the kitchen.
[ Where he'll be heading now, and expecting her to follow if she wants any. ]
no subject
[ And no one can ever help those. She should know, although she hasn't been saddled with any awkward items. Yet. ]
And thank you! [ She is of course following along, although she's giving the police box a look. ...You just don't walk by something like that without eyeinig it, okay. ]

[ It's a bit special, yep.
On the kitchen counter are two steaming cups of tea water, and next to those boxes upon boxes of different kinds of tea bags. ]
What do you like in yours? Milk? Cream? Honey or sugar?
no subject
[ Though she'll also take it plain in a pinch, it seems unlikely honey would be offered were it not, you know. There. ]
no subject
My daughter always puts a lot of honey in her tea. I think it ought to taste more honey than tea at that point.
no subject
[ Aria is on his daughter's side, here. ]
no subject
Yes, I... suppose. But why not just boil some water and put the honey in that, then?
[ He grabs milk for himself, and puts an Early Grey bag in his cup. ]

There's a chance, if you like.

[ She's so lucky she likes sweet things. ]
...So, what did you want to talk about today? I mean, echoes, I know, but.
no subject
[ If she's done with the honey water, he'll be leading the way into the living room. ]
no subject
[ She's done creating said water and is following, cheerfully. ]
no subject
[ He's already got it printed and waiting on the table in front of the couch. ]

[ After placing his cup on said table, he sits down on the couch. ]

[ Aria sits down as well, after a second. ]

The first...the entry about a guy named Sollux? Who "types like a tool"? I remember...talking to someone who wrote in yellow, with doubled I's and twos in place of S's. And then the one about Her Imperial Condescension...
