Action
Who: Asuka Langley Soryu, Shinji Ikari, Rei Ikari, normal people would call the cops
Where: Shinji and Rei's house
When: September 22, dinnertime
What: Asuka got plot-related Echoes and is still the rudest person in the world.
Normally, Asuka tries to go through life without sticking her neck out too much. Oh, sure, she does plenty for attention, and has gotten significantly less constructive with her stunts since she found a magical internet to troll, but all in all she used to be a girl that colored inside the lines, if only because that's what got her a banana sticker.
Today - or rather, last night while staring up at the odd lights that marked the autumn equinox and another stage in this weird game that was her life now - that was changing. There were answers she couldn't wait on or trust to the strange universal private network that apparently connected her to these people.
That's why she was now banging on the front door belonging to one Mr. Ikari - well, that and addresses being stupidly easy to find when you have a full name, a city, and Google. This is insane, and she knows it, but this is too important to delay whatsoever.
At least she's keeping her head enough not to yell about it in the street.

So Asuka will find herself greeted by a loser wearing an apron because that's totally not embarrassing.
"Ah, hello--"
Oh god wait. Holy shit. It's Angry Hot Redhead Girl. What the fuck.
"What are you doing here?!"
no subject
"Tell me everything you remember about you, me, that other girl, and Angels, right now," is the first thing out of her mouth, fortunately sotto voce.
no subject
"...What?! Since when do Angels have anything to do with this?" All you've managed to do is confuse him, Asuka. Good job.
no subject
"I don't know, but we both seemed to know exactly what we were talking about when I remembered something last night looking at those stupid lights. You asked why were were fighting them, and I said something about strange beings attacking us, and crap your parents aren't home, are they?" she derails herself as she remembers not every fourteen year old sits alone in an apartment all day.
no subject
Rei walks into the room with loud footsteps, looking especially annoyed. You've caught her on a very, very bad day, Asuka. Notice how her eyes have miraculously changed from blue to red since the last time you saw her.
"What are you doing here? Why are you in my house." Cut to an accusatory look at Shinji. Why did you even allow this!?
no subject
"How did you find our house, anyway? And I don't remember anything to do with anything like that, so...there's your answer on how much I know?"
no subject
"Anyway, you shouldn't give out a full name on the internet unless you want someone to come find you, especially when it's obvious what city you live in, okay?" she says, answering Shinji's question first, "and second, you really, really shouldn't use the stupid network to talk to your boyfriend. I think I got gay diabetes just trawling for your last name."
"As for your question--," she continues, turning to Rei and losing her train of thought for a moment when she makes eye contact and notices the other girl's eyes are red.
"Um, as for your question, I remembered a conversation the three of us had that might be related to the freaky monsters that are involved with this whole mess," she explains curtly. "Talking in person is faster than using the network. And I thought I might figure more stuff out by talking to people in person."
no subject
"Am I supposed to trust a stalker?" Gay diabetes is a pretty good one though, she'll have to store that one away for later. Honestly, Shinji's safety concerns her a lot more than decoding alien mysteries, though it is a close second.
"You have five minutes to convince me you're telling the truth."
no subject
Okay, so they have another memory to sort out, Asuka stalked him, and...oh, showed up while he was cooking. He should probably not leave dinner unattended for too long.
"Can we uh, move this to the kitchen, though. I have food on the stove." Gesturing to the apron.
no subject
"Okay...if I repeat part of the conversation it should trigger something for you, right?" she asks Rei, not moving until the other girl does. "You had this whole hippy speech about fire for some reason, how'd it go..."
A brief pause extends for several seconds...
"Crap, I must have been tuning it out," she admits, deflating slightly.
no subject
"Do you remember what she's talking about?"
no subject
And when he finally looks over his shoulder, he points down at the floor in annoyance at Rei sitting on the counter; like she's a dog or something. That's siblings for you.
no subject
"I remember those suits, including you wearing one that was obviously meant for me," she begins, pointing at Shinji again. "Red, with a zero-2 on the chest, like the one you modeled for the network that was white with a zero-1. I remember us talking and you wondering why we were fighting things named after the 'messengers of God', and I said...what did I say...aha!"
She pauses and declaims the way she remembers hearing herself in the memory. "What are you, stupid? Strange beings are attacking us!"
no subject
"We were fighting 'Messengers of God'?" Now crossing her arms in Asuka's direction.
"What does that make us? Lucifer's henchmen?"
Rei closes the distance between herself and Asuka some, pointing at her own eyes like she's about to pluck them out of her head.
"That would explain the scary red eyes. Am I a demon?" Her tone gives no way to discern how serious she may be about this. Is she joking? Maybe if her face were wearing any sort of expression it would be easier to tell.
no subject
He thinks all of this over for a few seconds, and..."Why would Lucifer's henchmen need wetsuits, though?"
no subject
"I don't know. Maybe we lived in some kind of weird society that thought an alien invasion or whatever was God's judgment. Don't know why we'd be underwater to fight 'Angels' either. Hell, I think we were on a mountain or something in that last memory. I wanted to come talk to you guys to see if you had more information," she admits, gritting her teeth slightly.
"Anyway, do you believe this Echo bullcrap is connecting us yet, or not?" she asks.
no subject
Until I see it for myself, I'll be skeptical."
A breath. Part of her really believes that, and part of her is just unwilling to go along with Asuka.
"And no. I don't have more information. I still haven't had another memory since my first echo. Just the suit and my eyes."
no subject
"I don't really know anything, so you might've wasted a trip over here..."
no subject
Asuka sighed.
"On the other hand, I did suddenly remember enjoying your cooking...," she added to Shinji in probably the least attempt to score a free meal she was ever likely to make.
no subject
Having Asuka here is making Rei so uncomfortable. Her home is being invaded by this annoying girl she hates and even worse apparently she might be significantly related to this girl. Great.
"See you later, then. I'll let you know if I see you in an echo.
Hopefully not."
Twin powers activate. She silently prays in her head, 'Don't let her stay, Shinji...'
no subject
This is it. This has to be one of the most awkward moments in Shinji Ikari's entire young life. Because normally he'd offer her some food, but...Rei really doesn't like Asuka, and boy does it show.
However his sister's wrath is something Shinji is used to, and having connections with people that aren't her? Not so much, so he hesitantly goes for it, "Well, uh, now that you mention it...have you eaten?"
no subject
"If you happened to make a bit extra, I'd be extremely grateful. Getting decent food in college is really difficult..."
