[ The voice on the other end of the feed is shaky and weak. It's difficult to make out the words because of the hum of other noises -- clicks of cash registers and the squeak of sneakers, the shuffle of plastic bags. ]

Please... I....

[ There's more static and muffled noises - she's talking but it's not clear what she's saying, there are noticeably a lot of pauses and sharp inhales. ]

I can't -- it hurts -- please, help... some...

[ There's a crashing noise and the feed continues to run, all the noises that were there before sans Colette, who has gone silent. ]

[ ooc: Long story short, Colette has passed out in an alley beside a popular super market. Her bags are dropped on the floor and she's on the ground. I'd like for one person to find her!! If you'd like to just throw up that you're doing so in the subject line. Otherwise, Colette will be responding once she's come-to and probably been dragged to a clinic or hospital. ♥ ]

Who: Tamara ([personal profile] formermagicalgirl) and Sam ([personal profile] wordsgate)
What: Sam and Tamara are having a nice picnic together. Obviously we can't have that, so the gigglewater causes all sorts of echoes to happen. Hilarity ensues?
Where: A park near Sam's apartment.
When: Backdated to August 2nd!

I just realized the time we spent )

[a voice comes through, clearly being run through a filter.]

Ça va, ça va, ça va?

I've already examined the FAQ, after doing a bit of digging. I would dismiss this all as nonsense, were it not that I attempted using the numbers on a piece of paper. From there, I'm sure you can guess at the result.

Très intéressant.

I'll spare the usual questions, and leave you to whatever it is you hope to accomplish. Frankly, all this talk of heroism hurts to hear! I don't have the time to spare for such nonsense. But, once more, don't mind me. I look forward to seeing how this plays out regardless.

I bid you bonne chance, Numbers Club.

[Hey, look who it is back on the network. She looks pretty terrible this time around though, even more pale than usual, her face is drawn and one of her arms is wrapped up in bandages. She has a few others on her other arm and one on her forehead from where she'd beat herself up with that steel ability.

She should probably still be resting up, but sitting around in bed on funky pain pills has gotten old really fast. Plus they sell for good money so she might be saving them.]

So, I'm not dead if anybody was wondering. I think we got that fungus stuff but if you run into it yourself don't hang around because it'll probably send zombified... things to attack you. [She holds up her bandaged left arm just for emphasis.]

On the bright side, it looks like I got some kind of power out of the whole fucking mess.

[Private to Chris, Isaac and Miria, Mamoru and John]

I'd... probably be dead if it weren't for you. So....

[She sighs and glances away, frowning. Ugh, she's no good at thank yous. Not ones like this anyway.]

So, I owe you one. Seriously.

Okay, so we've established that there's something in the water. No Brooke Fraser jokes please.

I can actually see the contamination, or whatever this is. It's kind of shouted down by the fluoride, but if I take some out into the sunlight in a clear glass, there's definitely a different color to it. Sticks around if it's boiled, but it doesn't get concentrated down.

Are we a reservoir city or is it something else? I don't know a thing about how this works, but someone's tampered with the water supply for the whole city. Anyone else think it's worth going and finding the source?
