I didn't know what to expect when I punched that weird string of numbers into the URL of my search bar. I mean, I really didn't give a damn about what it could've meant or any kind of deeper-meaning crap that it could've represented.

That's what I want to say anyway.

It's so boring around here, I thought "what if this is like a movie or a book or even a video game?" Then I wasn't sure what to think when it led me to this network thing. What did surprise me was that some people are posted to this thing by even writing their numbers on stuff like paper.

So this is cool. Could breathe some interesting into an otherwise boring life.

Anyone I know in on this? Come on, speak up. Or text, hand-write or whatever you do to talk here.

[The video starts with Tadashi lowering the remote and a few moments of somewhat awkward, vaguely embarrassed silence.]

[He rubs at the back of his neck and forces a wide grin.]

I don't suppose we have any mechanics on here. Or anyone knows someone who can manage a really difficult tow that, you know, wont put in a police report.

II - [video] [Sage speech broadcast, backdated to the 15th]

[the video is a small, grainy, vertical rectangle, and very unsteady. After this someone needs to convince Emmanuel to get himself a smartphone, since his old flip phone has terrible quality. The audio is garbled and tinny, though it sorts itself out after a moment into something decipherable at the very least. Maybe the network pulling some of the weight the phone can't. It's difficult to see anything but the dark outlines of the backs of people's heads, though as the camera pans across the group, glimpses of the Sage can be seen.]

[The others are talking amongst themselves, and nothing above the low chatter can really be made out until Emmanuel clears his throat. He's still off-camera.]

I, uh...if this is important, it's probably a good idea if everyone can see it, so--hopefully you can hear everything on the other side.

[the video then goes on to show not much of anything for about a few minutes, before the Sage decides to speak up. Everyone falls silent.]

[and then things go south.]

[the audio explodes with chaos, and the visual jerks wildly before a voice that sounds a lot like Julien's shouts:]

[the phone clatters to the rocky ground, and there's a crunching sound before the connection cuts out.]



[ooc: I'm going to post two sub threads: one for before the Sage's speech, and one for after. The first is for general chatter for anyone still at home sitting it out, as well as anyone in the mine browsing the network for whatever reason. The second Emmanuel won't be replying to, and anyone wanting to arrange outside rescue attempts can do so there if they like! Also, this doesn't have to be the only broadcast.]

Ok, so all that stuff that happened in the mine? Fuck that. Fuck all that stuff. I don't want to hear about it at all for the next week and do you want to know why

Because it's my goddamn birthday tomorrow (the 17th!!!) and I am going to be 23 and I am having a party because I need a party right now like no one's business. I have been baking all day because I bake when I'm upset and I now have a giant chocolate cake and more cupcakes than I know what to do with and also I seem to have acquired a metric fuckton of booze somehow I don't even know it must have fallen out of the sky and into my liquor cabinet.

My apartment (located at [ADDRESS NEAR THE CULINARY SCHOOL]) has a game room with tables and TV and pool and whatever the fuck all else you could possibly want and I booked it for monday evening and if you want to come and eat my cupcakes PLEASE DO.
