Seven Jewels: Blue Diamonds [Video | Water Trough]
[When Cinderella establishes connection this morning, she's turned partly sideways to the trough, and a couple of adult human voices are conversing - not casually - in the background.
She flicks her head in a meaningful direction - along her side, anyway. At the same time she's shifting on her hooves; if she's gesturing at herself it's difficult to discern anything. Tilts her head just a bit back at the trough, eyes looking into the frame, with an anxious flick of the ears and an equally anxious grinning expression best conveyed in words as "/baa-aa-aa".
"I'll talk to the neighbors," a woman says. "What are you going to have Linda and Michael do with you first, though, pick up the pieces of the rock, or get that off?"
"I think we'll move the pieces first," says a man. "We'll give Cindy a bath later. I'm just glad she doesn't seem too badly spooked, whatever happened."
They carry on. Cinderella shimmies a couple steps closer to the trough, starts leaning just as much to her side as she can, gives another all-the-more-pointed look alongside her - more clearly indicating her flank.
Still not clear, especially on the still-rippling connection surface, but there are three little blue shapes showing up on the white of her fur.
She nods her head back close to and into that feed with the anxious grin refreshed - her eyes are moving back as she half-consciously re-indicates her flank, gives the direction another nod, and then - her ears switch up and she swings away to go about acting natural for Mr. and Mrs. Bell. Any further word from her will come once they're out of the picture!]

You got a tattoo?
I mean, I don't judge, but I didn't think you were the type of person who wanted tattoos.
How do you even get tattoos as a horse...?
I wouldn't have thought it myself, but, well - if past lives is, in fact, the theory that we're going with the~en I suppose that - I once was the type of mare who wanted tattoos...
[She rubs her chin in thought.]
But why diamonds? If I got a tattoo, I'd get something like...
[She pauses for half a minute.]
...I don't know what I'd get, but probably something anyone could understand if they saw it.
[Hee, "mine"... diamonds - anyhoo.]
[She actually gets really excited as Cinderella's voice pipes up.]
What happened?
It... would seem it's now known just what was so noteworthy - about it. [Voice coasting higher again as she goes along:] You won't believe what turned out to be inside~!
[Guess if you can - if not she anything but minds enlightening a conversational partner on what a surprising payoff that not-so-special-or-so-she-thought rock turned out to have.]
Priceless artifacts? A treasure map?
Actual treasure?
It just so happens that the rock was filled - [Pause and flourish.] - with jewels! Now, I couldn't tell you if there were any diamonds, but - well! [A bounce of laugh has ridden into her tone...] It was a marvelous sight - once of course I was over the fright it gave me by cracking open like it did - [...And the laugh starts to waver out in favor of dryness. Still not humorless.] - aaand fussing over whether my masters overheard.

JEWELS?! THAT'S INCREDIBLE!
[She practically jumps up and down in excitement, mind aflutter with what the scene must've looked like...]
Oh, that's right, that was your owners talking. Do you think everything's gonna be okay?
And - [A somewhat warmer "Hm!"] - now - I would say in a heartbeat that I'd love to invite you and Isaac dear over to take a peek at the jewels yourselves~ were it not for the fact that it's most likely best that I keep everything quiet around my pasture. Only until we've gone long enough for the Bells without random acts of vandalism.
We'd love to stop by! When it's safe and logical. We could probably appraise the jewels too, if you wanted us to.
When it's safe and logical.

Hey, you need to get out of there or something?
no subject
Ohh, heavens, I shouldn't think so!
Bu~ut, well! It would seem my masters are well aware there's - something afoot. [Swings a look and twists her ears to check behind her - on the subject. They flatten when she swings back.] Just - so you all know.
[She honestly isn't afraid of needing to make herself scarce - one part denial of the possibility and one part assurance in the fact that the Bells have already made up an excuse for this much for her. Making a status update is really mostly meant to help her burn off some of the initial close-call panic and hanging flustered-ness.]

And I believe it's been established what "they" do to foals who come out to be a bit too close to this - colossal secret - of ours.

[She needs a distraction. This STILL makes more sense than musical WMDs.]

Of course, it's a mystery whyever anybody would have simply smashed it and ran, seeing as it was - apparently - full of jewels.
And to be fair, I. Expect I could have easily found myself with far less flattering new markings. [Small mercies - if nothing else light blue doesn't show too obnoxiously loudly on white.]

They've taken the jewels, correct. And have just finished giving me a good bath - gave up on scrubbing off those marks, decided they must simply wait for them to fade on their own in due time... Which - I'm assuming they won't!

I don't need to know how light a sleeper you are to know that you'd have woken up, sapience or no, if someone tried to do that to you in the middle of the night.
[Not long after posting this, she gets "that feeling" again.]
no subject
We~ell if that is what it is, then I suppose at least it. Didn't come with all the fuss.

If you'll excuse me for a moment, I think I have something to check on; I feel different.
[And a cursory check reveals...]
2/2 - suddenly voiced
...why THERE?
[It's a woman's voice... although the tone certainly isn't pleasant.]

Hence the pointing.

Wait, do they brand horses, or just cows...
[Russel looks pretty concerned himself, because what if something happened to the talking pony!!! oh noooo that would be the worst :( :( :( ]
Are you going to be okay? You're not in trouble, are you?
If anybody's in trouble, it would seem it'll be the local pests who've been coming making a mess of things in my pasture. And~ who painted diamonds on my flank while I was asleep.
Which is not what happened at all! But, surely that goes without saying.
What did happen? It was one of those flashback things, right?
Might you have happened to've looked at the - twilight sky last night, too?
That - should mean that you got something, darling! ...And I hardly see why you wouldn't have as it seems as if most all of us who looked had! [It's only mild surprise - not even concern, presently, as he doesn't look any worse for the wear of whatever it was. Simply that he's not made the connection or been filled in on what that old familiar feeling means.]
Haven't noticed anything out of place, really? No~ mysterious gifts? Unusual - [Momentary pause.] impulses?
That's - not the most appealing choice of words, I'm aware, bu~ut, I can tell you that it's only after one of those that I. Found myself with the sweet tooth I have currently.
[except...]
Well...maybe I did kind of start saying some really over-the-top stuff lately... and I remember something about telling people to believe in the power of love and kindness, but it wasn't me in the memory--I mean, not me me [gestures to himself, as if that explains exactly what he means.]
