Who: Shinji Ikari and Danny Fenton
What: Danny and Shinji meet at school in a rather unconventional way.
Where: School bathroom
When: sometime at the beginning of the school year

[Beginning high school's been pretty uneventful for Shinji so far, and the last thing he really expected was for something unusual to happen while he was going to the bathroom.

I'm not going to write a long log opener explaining Shinji taking a crap in great detail because that would just be gross, but it's a thing that happens. And before he leaves the stall he's in for a surprise.]

[well if you're not going to write a long log opener then I guess that leaves it up to me.

Danny, like most people, needed to go to the bathroom, and coincidentally ended up in the stall right next to Shinji's. As he finishes up with his business, he reaches for some toilet paper like the hygienic young man that he is. Unfortunately, his powers have decided to backfire on him again, after cooperating with him for so long, and his arm goes intangible. Next thing he knows, his entire forearm is sticking into another stall.

To Danny's credit, he only screams a little this time--more of a yelp, really.]

Shinji doesn't get any credit. The surprise gets an all-out Shinji Scream™ from him. Nothing could've prepared him for this moment. Nothing.

What on earth has his life become in this past month.

And once he's done screaming Shinji is incredibly eloquent.]

Uh...

[SWEET GOD IN HEAVEN, WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT

It's a good thing Danny's already sitting on the toilet because he is shitting himself.]

OH MY GOD!!

[Danny's arm flails in shock but as Shinji's screams come to an end, his arm starts to calm down again.]

Oh my god. Uh.

A-are you okay?

Shouldn't I be asking you that?!

[Scooting away from the arm as far as he can and pointing to it, not that Danny can...see that.]

W-well, from the way you screamed, I thought I might've gotten my arm stuck in your head!

...I didn't, did I? Oh my god, please tell me I didn't.

No it's just. Stuck in the bathroom stall.

[Which is still pretty weird, dude.]

Okay, well that's...

...not as bad as it could've been, I guess?

[Danny tries to focus on getting his arm back out, tugging on it a little bit. On Shinji's end, he can see Danny's hand ball up into a fist and wriggle around a bit before it goes limp again.

He sighs.]

...I think it's stuck.

...Seriously?

[How did this even happen. How is this a thing that is going on in his life right now.]

So now what?!

Well, uh...

I-I think I have to wait for it to go intangible again on its own, whenever that is. It doesn't look like I can get it out myself right now.

[Well, that certainly doesn't sound fun.]

Does this kind of thing happen to you...often? Are you, um...well, I guess if I asked and you weren't I'd sound crazy, but...

[at first Danny is silent, just staring at where Shinji's voice is coming from with the most unimpressed deadpan face of all time.. But then he remembers that Shinji can't actually see his face.]

Well, my arm is stuck halfway through a toilet stall. That's already pretty crazy, if you ask me.

Seeing numbers in your head kind of crazy?

[Shinji what do you think.]

[Danny lets out a sigh of relief that he didn't even know he was holding in him. He was trying to play it cool, and he was getting better at keeping calm when his intangibility was on the fritz, but no matter how well he could handle it, it wouldn't matter if the other kid was some random high schooler who would let word spread through the grape vine until the police came knocking on his door.]

Oh, good. Okay then, you--ugh, good. Good to know.

Yeah, actually. Exactly that kind of crazy.

[You got lucky, Danny. Extremely lucky.]

I want even less to do with this stuff now.

[He lets out a sigh.]

I guess I'm better off than you, at least. For the moment.

Well--it's not so bad! At least the people you get to meet are pretty cool.

I'd say you get used to it, but, well... [He tries to shrug his stall-arm as best he can, which really just results in twisting his hand so that it's facing the ceiling.]

I...think you should be okay, though, as long as you don't have any problems with staying solid.

I don't really think I'm going to get any powers or anything at all, so...

[Because someone like him wouldn't, and he's okay with that because he wants nothing to do with any of this.

And man, this is awkward. He'd feel weird just leaving this guy with his arm stuck in the stall but just randomly chatting it up with him between bathroom stalls is...quite an experience.]

Then you won't have any problems! Sounds pretty good to me.

[He goes silent as he tries to wiggle his arm around once more, to no success. He sighs again.]

My arm's starting to get ti--WHOA!

[Luckily, Danny's arm goes intangible again! Unluckily, he's taken by surprise by it and, instead of pulling away from it, ends up falling further into the stall.

i hope u had ur pants up, shinji, because now the entirety of Danny's arm is in the stall, as well as all of his head.]

[He did at this point, so there is no sight of Shinji's little baby wiener there to greet Danny(this time?).

Shinji jumps into the back corner with a surprised noise--not an actual scream this time because he's a bit more mentally prepared for it.]

Are you alright...?

[awww boo 8C]

Y-yeah, uh...I think so, anyway. This is the first time I've ever gotten my head stuck in anything, so uh...hehe. [He's trying to keep calm still but his voice has gained +5 anxiousness. HIS HEAD is in a TOILET STALL. How do you even DEAL with that?!

He tries to rotate his neck so that he can get a better view of Shinji, but with his neck stuck in a wall, he has limited mobility. He can only just barely make out Shinji's face.]

Hey, you're, uh...are you new here? I don't think I've seen you in school before.

Maybe the rest of you will come through next.

[That'd be better than...this. Shinji's body is all being normal and he doesn't even know how to deal with this.]

I'm a freshman, yeah.

Oh, you're a freshman! Heh, yeah, that--that would explain why I haven't seen you before.

Uh. Welcome to Locke High? [He waves his arm hello.] I swear, people don't usually get their arms stuck in bathroom stalls here.

Yeah, I...kind of guessed as much.

This is just our life now.

[The last part sounds kinda bitter.]

[wow, Danny doesn't know how to deal with that sudden sourness. He kind of stares awkwardly for a moment, not sure how to proceed.]

Uh...well, it's not that bad! I mean, this is kinda inconvenient [he gestures down towards himself] but for the most part it's pretty okay! Plus you get to meet a lot of cool people on the network!

Well...this isn't really the kind of thing I want to be part of, is all. I'm pretty useless to it, anyway.

[But the meeting people part is good since he has no friends.]
