I know a number of us have received strange memories, or visions, or whatever you want to call them.

But has anyone else had one that contained someone else with a number?

I don't think so. No one I recognize, anyway.

Yes. There were some differences, but even with that, he was unmistakable.

It makes me wonder if there are any other overlapping elements in what everyone's seen.

I don't think many people have talked too much about them. Not that I can blame them.

I can sympathize with wanting to keep them quiet. But at the same time I have to wonder if there are connections we're keeping ourselves from making in the meantime.

That hasn't turned up in mine at all - yet, at least.

May have just been coincidence, then.

And we might be. It's just hard to be open about things like this. At what point do people start looking at you strangely, for something you've seen?

No, my memory didn't have anyone else in it at all. But that's fascinating--what sort of memory was it?

I don't expect anyone to justify why they wouldn't want to give details. I'm not sure that I'd want to.

But at the same time...the fact that mine seem connected to at least one person here worries me. With as little as we have to go on now, though, the question of whether there are more connections would probably be more easily dealt with later.

It wasn't terribly eventful. We were just discussing something.

...it would probably make more sense if I'd gotten more context for the discussion.

There was at least one other person who recognized someone from a vision as well.

Do you think we all have a connection to each other, through these visions...?

[iaijutsu]

I think it's possible. It's nothing I'd count too strongly on yet, but if at least a few of us seem to have connections to each other, then more don't seem out of the question, and it would offer some kind of explanation to "why us," even if it's not an explanation we actually have yet.

I'm just speculating, but it might be speculation worth pursuing, when we have more to go on.

Ah, one of those. My memory doesn't make much sense, either.

And even if they're not direct connections, there's a lot of us that are in the same situations.

There's something we all have in common that started this. We just have to figure out what it is.

I've never heard of anything like that! I guess it's possible but... that adds a pretty big dimension to this situation.

I've gotten the impression that few of them do.

I agree. It could be a long time before we have enough to say anything conclusively, but at the very least it's something we should keep in mind.

I'm told at least one other person has experienced something similar.

I don't think we have enough to say that everyone will wind up connected that closely, but I think it's a possibility we should consider.

Yeah.

I'm also wondering the difference between people who seem to be getting things instead of visions. Or even just things happening.

Out of a whole city full of people, the odds are still pretty incredible.

I'd be curious as to what's the most common. People have mentioned physical changes, physical objects, memories or visions, whichever you want to call them...anything else?

The odds of any of this happening are so unlikely that I can't imagine paying attention to them will make much difference now.

There's always something that can make a difference. Something as simple as a number, or remembering someone you already know.

Abilities. Physical or magical in nature.

I was thinking of the physical ones under physical change, but I hadn't realized magical ones had come up.

I'm simply saying that with the level of statistical improbability we're already at, I don't think limiting speculation based on what seems improbable is going to be productive. No matter how things go from here, the odds are ridiculous.

I've seen at least one thing like that. So it is possible.

Are yours short, too? that's probably part of the problem.

Short enough, yes. They haven't exactly been quick flashes, but they haven't been long enough to really establish much context.

Yeah. The only thing I've gotten so far has been like that. It's...strange.

I wish I could think that logically. I know you're right, still...

Thinking logically is about all I have to offer, so I had better make the best of it.

Right. Did recognizing the person cause anything else to happen? Or was that isolated, too?

[iaijutsu]

It didn't seem to set anything else off, no. We'd known each other for a while before, albeit not terribly well, but this is the first time anything like this has come of it.
