xx3 voice

[ The voice on the other end of the feed is shaky and weak. It's difficult to make out the words because of the hum of other noises -- clicks of cash registers and the squeak of sneakers, the shuffle of plastic bags. ]

Please... I....

[ There's more static and muffled noises - she's talking but it's not clear what she's saying, there are noticeably a lot of pauses and sharp inhales. ]

I can't -- it hurts -- please, help... some...

[ There's a crashing noise and the feed continues to run, all the noises that were there before sans Colette, who has gone silent. ]

[ ooc: Long story short, Colette has passed out in an alley beside a popular super market. Her bags are dropped on the floor and she's on the ground. I'd like for one person to find her!! If you'd like to just throw up that you're doing so in the subject line. Otherwise, Colette will be responding once she's come-to and probably been dragged to a clinic or hospital. ♥ ]

[There's a few brief moments of talk on Audrey's end. She doesn't entirely leave Colette but she does grab hold of a passerby, asking them for the address of the store and what precise street they're on. Apparently that's when the passerby notes the blonde nearby Audrey and begins asking questions.

The rest of it is a bit of a rush. Audrey returns, voice low as she kneels back down near the other teen. Her hand returns as well as she leans in to speak somewhat quietly to Colette. Whether it was sound that hurt her or simply the pain, she imagined loud talking wouldn't help the problem much.]

Don't speak. If you can stand, nod for me. An ambulance should be here shortly. If not I've found others who can direct the paramedics to us, alright?

[And there's Audrey, doing her best to keep the other teen from hitting the ground when it's too much for her to balance. She glances up to the passerby she stopped moments before.]

If you don't mind, lead the paramedics here when they arrive.

[Whether she can or can't stand isn't the question now in Audrey's mind. She might be able to force herself to but it hardly seems right. Her half-question even worries the other woman.]

I'm not sure. Were you feeling ill earlier?

[Though... she mentions this part softer than the other, since by now people are beginning to linger.]

It might be a memory of some sort. What kind is... questionable though.

[What sort of horrible memory would cause this much pain? None of her own could compare to the very real pain she was watching now and it made her heart sink a bit to realize again how unfair remembering could be.

The ambulance's sirens come blaring in the background moments later and Audrey winces herself. If other sounds were loud to Colette, those can't be comfortable. It might seem a little foolish to do but she reaches out to lay her hands against either of Colette's ears, just for a moment.]

[There's a hustle that follows after that. People do lead the paramedics toward Colette and Audrey. Audrey's brow furrows as she thinks about the implications. She drank something, laughter and now -- was it some new sort of thing like with the statues?

She nods lightly, firmly.]

It'll be over soon.

[Not that she knows that for sure or anything but it's better to agree than disagree. And she reasons it likely will be better once Colette manages to see a doctor.

The paramedics soon begin loading Colette on their stretcher and Audrey follows along as they begin to wheel her back to the ambulance, still puzzling over this turn of events.

The attacks she understood, those much be the invaders or accomplices. Who was it though that was making them remember? It couldn't be the same people.]
