Okay. Realizing that it will make me look like a total weirdo... Has anyone else had any really strange dreams lately? Like very vivid dreams you can seem to forget afterwards? Maybe featuring gray monster people?

Yeah. I sound insane.

Oh and my boss said I'm not allowed to go back to work until my jaundice is taken care of. So I guess I need makeup tips now.

[Later at Locke's larger bookstore...]

A tall very yellow looking man can be found staring in confusion at the books
in the new age section of the library. He keeps picking up books with titles like "Unlocking your Hidden Potential," "Your Dreams: Liberating Your Inner Wisdom," and "The Mystic Subconcious," vaguely flipping through them before putting them back with a grimace. He's been at this for almost an hour now.

[[...Oh hey. Wasn't that guy one of the ones at the grue hunt? Bakura hadn't really spoken to him them, but then again, he hadn't really spoken to anyone...

...did he get more jaundiced? Or was it the difference in light that made it seem that way?]]

«Sob. It's the light. He prays. He visibly startles when Bakura speaks, quickly putting the book he's looking for back before turning to look at the teenager. For some reason he has a pretty guilty look on his face.»

Um no. Not really.

That was your post, right? Asking about dreams. [[nods over at one of the books]]

«He looks to the side, mouth pressing together before he actually answers.»

..Yeah. It was.

I've meet you before, right?

[[He nods]] Monday. I was the one in the hoodie who wandered off before it was over. [[he looks a touch embarrassed]]

Yeah well, that whole thing was scary beyond belief.

[He shrugs, as though to say don't worry about it.]

[[He nods. It was a good of an explanation for it as anything.]]

So these dreams like those badly timed heart attack flashbacks? Just a different flavor?

[He sort of, shrugs and winces at the same time, he doesn't like to be reminded of those "heart attack" things.]

I guess? To be honest they aren't really dreams I just, didn't know what else to call them.

Don't think anyone does yet. Doesn't help that everyone's seem to be different.

Hajime's been poking around the store himself, trying to find information on a few problems of his own. He's holding a small stack of books on historical artifacts and things of that nature, but the nature of the dream-related books catches his eye as well. Bad enough he's got some freaky magical belt materializing around his waist at times; he's also got visions of things he never needed to see. He'll move in to get a better look at some of those books.

He also casts a curious glance in the direction of the jaundiced-looking individual nearby, but he'll try to look like he's not staring.

Fortunately Davin is pretty absorbed in flipping through his book at this point, and unfortunately he's also getting used to all the stares he keeps getting wherever he goes. It's not until he nervously moves to place the book back on the shelf that he sees Hajime, and he actually jumps a bit when he does, cause he wasn't expecting to see anyone else in the aisle.

"Ah...sorry, didn't mean to startle you..." Quickly, Hajime grabs a random book off of the shelf to cover for the staring a bit better. Nope, he wasn't staring, not at all, he just wanted to get that book right there. "Just needed a book..."

...and actually, the one he grabs looks pretty useful, so he'll just start flipping through it. The Power of Visions certainly seems hokey and useless, but given the way things have been going? Hajime's leaving no stone unturned.

He watches him take the book and flip through it. The title draws his attention, and although he doesn't want to bother his fellow patron...

"..Do you know a lot, about this kind of stuff?"

"Ah, I'm afraid not." Hajime shakes his head, and after deciding that this book isn't going to be much help, either, reshelves it. "You could call it a bit of a new interest." A new interest in a rather large load of bull, from the looks of most of the titles there.

[It's not uncommon for Toushirou to surround himself with books. Being in a place like this isn't weird for him. Though he's not exactly one to go trawling around the New Age section; it's just that it's near the Fantasy and SciFi section, which he does frequent from time to time.

[And the yellowish skin on the tall guy in the next section over is hard to miss. That's . . . weird. So much these past few days has been weird. He really shouldn't stare, and technically, he doesn't, but . . .

[Well, have a tiny blond kid repeatedly glancing at you out of the corner of his eye. He's not doing a very good job of being secretive about it.]

Its not hard to notice, despite how much he has been stared at lately. As much as he doesn't want to glare at a kid, he is still pretty self conscious about the whole "yellow thing." He gives Toushirou a stern look.

"Is there something I can help you with?"

He's kind of just hoping he can scare the kid away for the moment.

[The slight ducking of his head is mostly a reaction to being caught at all. But scared? Nope. It's not that easy. Especially when he starts putting together something he'd seen on that network earlier today. Jaundice. Which would explain the yellow. And something about dreams, which might explain the book choices.]

Probably not. You were the one kind of looking for help earlier, right? [He's not sure whether this is too discreet or too obvious.]

Let's be honest, it's a little of both. It's so obvious its unbelievable while simultaneously so subtly that its absolutely unclear. Davin blinks at him, in surprise.

[He's a lot better when he can just say things straight out. Talking around something is hard. But he has to do it, because this is a public place and anyone on the network has to be careful. He'd seen that video --

[Well, most of it. You can forgive a kid not watching the actual shooting, right?]

Oh, so that wasn't you talking about jaundice and dreams of grey monster people? [He tries to make it sound like an offhand comment. It's only partly successful. Because what even is this?]

He blushes, bright yellow, freezing in shock. Then he starts to stammer.

"You-! I don't know what you're talking about!"

Right, because that's believable.

[... Okay, that's an interesting reaction. But --]

Clam down, will you? Don't make a scene of this. [Furtive glance around the place, but nobody seems to be watching them at the moment. Yep, the kid you were trying to scare off is more composed than you are.]

And I think I know exactly what I'm talking about.

He's just going to turn around and try to leave now.

No dreams like that. From what I've seen, whatever this is seems to do different things to different people. Maybe the dreams are your thing?

For what it's worth, you don't sound any crazier than the rest of us.

I guess that's true. Still, there was something weird about it that I don't know how to explain. I don't really know how dreams can "be a thing though."

I guess I'm just overthinking it.

Hell, I don't know how half the crap that's happened could be a "thing," but there it is.

Maybe we all are. Maybe we should just try rolling with it? Yeah, I know, easier said than done, right?

Maybe, it's not like I've actually tried rolling with it yet.

Yeah. I'm still kinda working on that one, myself.

Hm. When you say 'grey monster people', do you mean, perhaps ... horns, fangs?

Yes! Funny horns in strange shapes! Have you seen them too?

And cold skin and yellow eyes. I did have ... a dream, yes.
