Exactly. And I ain't so sure that if you don't have your own number, so to say, that you can actually get to the network. That don't seem to be how it works.

We really should find out. I've been talking to someone - well, I'm afraid I don't have a name for them, but I think we may try and see if one of us can get on using someone else's number. Perhaps that at least will help us understand a little more.

Well, I know what happens if we use someone else's number. If you do, you sort of contact them privately instead of on the general network.

Isn't that only after you've already logged on? Would should find out what happens if you try to get on in the first place with someone's number.

I ain't so sure. I punched the number of a... friend into my phone, and it ended up calling him. Seems pretty straightforward to me.

Could you see anyone else's posts? That's what we need to find out. We need to see if anyone other that us can use the numbers to get onto this network. But if each number's tied to just one individual...

Nope! Not anyone's at all. It just called him up, and I bet if he didn't have a phone near, it would have found another way. [A pause.] I'm still wondering if anyone outside us can actually see the network. I mean, Paul Ben was connected to it when he died, so the people who killed him should have seen it on the wall, but... they didn't?

Then maybe no one else can see this! I'll have to try it myself with something else - maybe a computer. But if we can prove that only we can use our own numbers...well, then that means the network is safe, doesn't it? We wouldn't have to be so afraid of people finding it.
