track two | text/audio;
[there is what looks distinctly like a hardwood floor. and attempts at writing in blood on it. that's a network number, anyway. those of you who remember this sort of thing might remember it as belonging to a recent arrival to the Secret Numbers Club.
whatever effort that was to accomplish was quickly abandoned a few scribbled attempts at letters in. Blues managed to get back to his laptop, groping around his desk to make his way. he clenched his jaw to keep himself from screaming again as another wave of agony hits from where his eyes used to be. it felt like something was pushing its way in.
remembering he'd left it open on a fresh Word doc, he enters his number. he'd rarely been so glad for touch typing. before he types anything else, the network will be greeted with another barely-restrained scream. he doesn't trust himself to speak right now.]
blind
eyes arje gone cant see
bledidng
something;s psuhging ina can;'t call for help
[he's got new eyes coming in and he has no fucking idea what's happening to him.]
audio;
Probably? Agh, fucking hell! [yeah, this stream of grunts and profanity isn't going to stop anytime soon. he's reasonably sure his phone is somewhere in front of him, on the plus side.]
phonecall;
phonecall;
Yes! Hi! Welcome to the latest exciting chapter in how I have lost control of my life!
[seriously hoping this is Chris and not a poorly timed coincidence...]
phonecall;
I HAVE A BAG FULL OF ADVIL, ALSO VICODIN. I DON'T EVEN KNOW IF THAT'S SAFE FOR YOU RIGHT NOW. I AM NOT A DOCTOR. BUT I HAVE THAT AND BANDAGES.
phonecall;
[ANYWAY HE SPOUTS OFF HIS ADDRESS AND APARTMENT NUMBER]
[action?]
because she's running out to the local ZipCar lot and wondering at what point she
1. lost control of her life and
2. started caring about these dumb motherfuckers
but well, you take care of your own, or something
SOME TIME LATER she's standing outside realizing HOW IS HE GOING TO LET HER IN
she at least gets in the building by explaining that her friend is sick and might be too sick to get down the stairs no you don't want to come VERY CONTAGIOUS n o don't call 911 just go away don't question my fashion choice of wearing sunglasses at midnight GOD
and now knocking at your door]
HEY YOUR BUILDING SECURITY SUCKS, ALSO LET ME IN?
[action]
For once, I'm...ugh. Not gonna complain about that. Close the door.
[action]
Yeah, that's uh.
...
Hm.
... Anyway, hold still, I've got the doctor on the phone, he wants a picture.
[Click]
Annnd with that done, I'm going to take you to a chair, and then get some water, and you're going to try to bandage that at least.
[action]
Agh. Right. Lead the way.
[he'll just sort of...put his arm out in the direction he thinks she's in.]
[action]
She leads him over to a chair.]
Right, so, just uh. Sit. I'll be right back.
[She gets a glass of water and also a small bowl, after some digging to actually FIND the stuff.]
Two advil, doctor says I can't give you more than that.
[Advil in one hand, glass of water in the other.]
gonna threadjack now, hope that's okay.
Starsky, have arrived. Need door open.
cool with me :)
Doctor Solus is here, I'm going to go get the door. Don't get up.
[And she goes and lets Mordin in]
I gave him two advil and some water, but that's all I've managed so far. He's over there. Still conscious.
[And boy is she glad she wore black tonight, because now there's blood on her leather jacket, whoops.]

Got it. Damn...
[uuuugh christ this fucking hurts beyond comprehension. at least he's got a good threshold.]

Eyes are completely liquefied in order to make space for self-assembling artificial replacements. Thankfully most nerve connections already made; painkillers relatively safe for him. Will need to remove liquefied tissue, however. Might be unpleasant.
no subject
Whatever you need to do to help speed this along, doc.
no subject
Yeah, when I came in I thought this looked familiar. Same thing happened to me, pretty much.
Anything I can do to help?
no subject
Take these. Once that's done, will remove tissue and disinfect sockets. Still going to be somewhat painful, unfortunately. Starsky, will need container to store tissue.
no subject
Got it. M'in your hands here.
[just. gonna try to keep his mind on anything else once Mordin sets to work, no big deal.]
no subject
Should be done. Keep eyelids closed until new eyes grow in - safer that way.
no subject
I don't think that'll be a problem. Thanks.
no subject
Should get some rest now. Starsky - would be good if you could stay with him. Better he isn't alone in this condition.
[He scribbles his contact information twice on a note and hands it to each of them.]
In case you need me. Should tell me if anything goes wrong.
[He yawns, then smiles ruefully.]
Suppose I couldn't stay awake forever. Goodnight, you two.
[And with that, Mordin Solus takes his leave.]
