You know what's weird? Looking at your vacation photos and noticing that hey, that big ole scar you have? Not even there. And somehow, no one ever noticed this. Not even you. Somehow that's even weirder than the fake memories crap.

Anyway. I'm back. What I miss?

Traveling out of town and returning is a particularly unusual sensation.

"Unusual" isn't what I would call it. Horribly disorientating and down right disturbing's a bit more it.

Only during this last trip when I left and returned after a family visit. I don't have any scars or such but the rush of everything else was... unsettling.

I thought the scars were from something else.

There's a lot of things I thought were from something else. And things that I somehow had forgotten weren't from this me.

[Audrey sighs out at that. Everyone else seems to be accepting things much easier than herself.]

I thought nothing of what I have remembered so far or even questioned my life on Locke much. I spoke to my father about school and those I've met but it wasn't until I touched down that I remembered everything else again.

It was relieving in some ways and frightening in others.

Relieving to know you could just walk away from everything if you so choose...?

That and not having to question who I am for a bit.

If it helps, you can think of it like a past life or something. Despite what stories tell you, the you in the past life is a totally different person, even if it was you. What happened then happened then and doesn't mean jack shit in this life except to the pocket of some two bit hack psychic who'd gladly tell you otherwise for 9.95 a minute.

Focus on the you of now. Don't let that other stuff bug you because it's not the you of now. It's the you you left in Narnia or Wonderland or wherever the fuck.

Or heck. Think of it as memories of Batman. Only relevant when you need to don the cape and chase after the joker in an awesome car that shoots flames out the back.
