[ On screen sits a beautiful if slightly awkward looking young woman. She isn’t really used to putting up videos like this, but it kind of seems to be a Thing around here so she’s decided to give it a go. ]

Hi. I’m Jennifer, most people call me Jenny.

[ Her Texan accent is relatively mild, but still noticeable enough to be recognizable. ]

I’m new to the area and sort of… in between everythings at the moment. I need a place to stay, I need a job, I need… well, like I said, everything. I’m not asking for any favors but if anyone has any tips on how to go about finding a roof over my head and somewhere to make some money I’d be super grateful. I suppose I should say something about myself…

[ Her sentence peters out into silence, and after a couple of thoughtful moments she lets out a little laugh. ] But you know, I can’t for the life of me figure out what to say. [ Or rather, she can’t decide what she’s comfortable with just blurting out to all of the world that might also be of actual interest for people to hear. ]

How about you all ask me questions if you have them, and I’ll do my best to answer? Yeah, I think we’ll do that. Take care, everyone!

That's really... daring of you. [ More like kind of hasty and reckless-sounding but he's erring on the side of being polite, since she was doing so herself. Which was a heck of a lot farther than most people cared to go on the network. ]

I don't know about anything specific, but downtown there's a lot of places in the entertainment district that hire summer help since everyone is out of school. Maybe places by the beach, too.

[ Pausing, concern manages to bleed through. ]

You really don't have anywhere to stay?

Well, I'm in a hostel right now.

[ She shrugs a little and gives him a small, almost reassuring smile. ]

I'm just looking for something a bit more long-term and figured that if I did it this way, maybe there'd be someone who'd been wanting a roomie or something.

[argents]

[ Well, a roof over her head was something. The tension in his voice tapers off dramatically. ]

Not the worst thing I've seen this network used for.

[ghani]

[ It's sweet of him to be so concerned, and some of her appreciation probably shows in the warmth of her tone. ]

Yeah? I don't even really understand what it is.

[argents]

I can't exactly pretend I really know what it's for, or how it even works, but we all have the number that connects us here in common. And the things that come along with them.

[ghani]

Things that come along with them...?

[ Jenny's first and only Echo happened when she was just a baby, so she hasn't really had the same kind of experiences that many other numbered have. ]

[argents]

[ He pauses to think it over, everyone's experiences were so vastly different it was hard to gauge how to explain it. ]

Mm, like... a memory that has no origin, or a skill you never had. Or things, real physical ones that you have some connection to, just appearing. Nothing like that happened to you?

[ghani]

Not... really? I mean, I have these weird dreams sometimes but I've had those for as long as I can remember. They're just dreams.

[ She doesn't mention her secret hope that they're more than that, that the person she's been dreaming of will show up in her life one day. ]

Huh. I only know of one other person like that. That didn't get hit right in the face with this stuff, I mean.

[ He clicks his tongue thoughtfully. ]

Maybe this will make your dreams appear in a new light though, if you think it could be connected.

I don't... know? I mean they've always been very vivid. And always about the same person.

Well, have you tried looking anything up on, um... recurring dreams? That's what they're called, right? I'd say the fact that you have a number means something happened, at some point.
