[ It's not often Kallie makes an initial, non-private post to the network, but - true to the same form as her previous attempts, she jumps right into things, her tone quiet but tense. ]
Yeah, I don't think for a second that this is over. In less than a couple weeks, it'll have been a year since the numbers first started working for us. This network.
... We still don't know where it came from, but. It's still here. People are still feeling pulses.
[ She takes another quick breath, but then... that's all. Suddenly, she's a lot angrier than she was a few moments earlier- half because just look at the state of the damn city now, and half because... none of this still makes any sense to her. Of course, she herself recognizes it's possible she's out of the loop even more than newer folk, given her almost stubborn at times detachment... though that's definitely not something that makes her feel any better.
To be honest, she's not entirely certain where she was even going with this. She just felt it needed to be vented anyway.
After all, today's the one year anniversary of her very first Echo. Somehow, she doesn't feel like celebrating. ]

Do you think another giant-ass snake is going to appear, or? 'Cause that was... [ okay it was kind of cool, let's be real here ] some kind of something.
audio;
[ She sighs. No, no use in getting worked up; it's probably an innocent enough question, all things considered. Obviously she's pretty stressed about all of this. ]
Anyway, yeah.
audio;
But maybe it will start getting better? I mean, things can't just always suck, right. [ TEAM OPTIMIST and Noah is still new enough to this not to have a bad outlook on things. Yet. ]

Optimism, ewww...]I don't really think so...
Word on the line is that there's more aliens on the way. Even if that one was killed, there's still... it still seems like they got what they wanted anyway.
[ God she hates talking like this, but soldiers on. ]
Except, well, us- getting in the way and letting everyone know about our existence.
no subject
What, were aliens just waiting for people with like past lives in their heads before they jumped earth? Like, what does aliens have to do with reincarnation and echoes and stuff...
[ Even Noah has a limit for illogical weirdness. ]
Maybe the next aliens will be friendly ones that want to help us improve our lives?
no subject
[ Hnnnrrgh, she doesn't want to explain this; it's not like she even can begin to understand it herself. ]
... Look, maybe Sierra would be able to explain it better.
[ Yes dump it on someone else perfect plan. ]
no subject
Okay, I'll go ask her. [ LITERALLY GOES AND ASKS HER
A few minutes later, he returns. ]
Haha, she said "because they are evil and responsible for the random snake statue attack" and I already knew that, whatever, so I go "but why" and she just says "because", which. About what I expected. [ He laughs, because why is he expecting anything with this stuff to make actual detailed sense, anyway. ] But I get the feeling I'm not getting a better explanation than that.
no subject
Right... well. I don't think the aliens have much to do with the whole past lives and pulses thing. Obviously they don't like us.
no subject
They don't? [ He considers that. ] Huh, I guess they wouldn't have to be connected. I just sorta assumed they were.
Haha, yeah, the not liking us part was pretty... clear. Crystal clear.

[ AND THIS SHIRT IS GETTING FOLDED A LOT MORE ANGRILY THAN THE OTHERS, to account for keeping her voice calm when she's feeling FRUSTRATION instead. Excuse her a moment. ]
I really don't know.
no subject
[ Statistically, things have to make sense eventually. At least momentarily. ]
no subject
... Yeah, I guess.

In my admittedly super limited experience, things always work out when it comes down to it. So don't sweat it.
