[There is a golden eyed man with a large nose staring at you. The expression he's going for is neutral, but the way he purses his lips gives away his unease.]
I do not know who can hear me, but I was instructed to put a set of numbers into my computer, which...has led me here. I was told to do this by a young man who was convinced that he knew me...
[His voice is low and his accent is obvious, with wide, nasal vowels and 'd' replacing most 'th' sounds. His eyes start to roam around the edges of the screen as he considers how to continue.]
It was not a pleasant conversation. I was accused of being a danger to children. This is very insulting; I work with children. It is my job to treat them and make them well. I don't know who is listening, but I will not stand to be insulted again. I am here for answers, not for being told I should not be allowed to do my job, or that I am 'evil'.
[Now that he's made that point, he shifts, picking up something metal off screen. When he lifts it to the camera, the large, heavy amulet spins on its chain. It's almost as big as his fist, with an eye-sized orange jewel at the top of it and several smaller, similar stones embellishing both sides.] This appeared a week ago. I have no idea what it is, or where it came from, but I can't...shake the feeling that it is mine.
[He sets it back down, out of frame.]
Can you tell me what this means? Can you tell me what's happening to me?
((ooc: Ghannam ran into Luke, who recognized him and told him about the Number's Club. Sorta.))

After their encounter the other day, Luke had tried to contact Evelyn, only to find that she didn't respond. Try as he might, he could find no way to contact Zelda. Something had happened to her, and he knew exactly who was responsible.]
I already told you. It means you're evil.

Video-->Voice
He plays his number, and soon enough Ghannam will be treated to a disembodied voice projecting from his computer. Time to cut to the chase.]
Tell me what you did with Princess Zelda!
Video-->Voice
I don't know what you're talking about!
Voice
Stop lying! You show up, and then Zelda stops responding on the network right after? You must have done something to her, just like you tried to in Hyrule!
Voice
Once he's done regrouping, he mentally goes over the teen's accusation. He hadn't done anything to this Zelda girl, but that name, Hyrule...
Suddenly he has this unshakable certainty that one day, this 'Hyrule' will be his to control.
...HE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT HYRULE IS!!!]
You don't know what you're talking about.
[He half-growls it, he's getting so shaken.]
Voice
Yes I do! I do too! I don't know what you're trying to do here, since there's not a kingdom for you to take over, but I know you did something to Zelda! Tell me where she is!
Voice
[Ringing, hollow, and suddenly the frustration he feels talking to this boy shifts and he's doubly frustrated because if he knew where that blasted princess was, he would've captured her by now! The Triforce of Wisdom would be his and--
WHERE IS THIS SHIT COMING FROM?!?!?
Ghannam rounds on his computer, pushes the chair out of the way and takes hold of the desk.]
What're you doing to me?!
Voice
[Luke's indignant, and about to begin repeating his tirade when he realizes what Ganondorf might actually mean by that. The change in intensity and his tone, combined with that ambiguous movement noise could easily have been an echo.]
Wait, did you just turn green or something?
Voice
[oh my jeez DON'T TURN HIM GREEN!]
But--You--you say things and then--then...these...these ideas come to me. Things that aren't mine, they are happening because you keep accusing me of things!
Voice
I'm accusing you of stuff cause you did it, and you're remembering it when I say stuff cause you did it. Cause you're Ganondorf. Which means I'm right!
[His logic is undeniable! And totally clear and easy to understand and most definitely not muddled by childish wording and ineffective communication skills.]
Voice
[Also you're making him look like an LUNATIC just pacing around, yelling at his computer!]
Voice
They ARE yours though! You're getting them cause they're yours...
[WHY AREN'T YOU GETTING THIS. He gives off a frustrated, grumpy sounding exhale.]
I remember you doing bad stuff, and now you're remembering you doing bad stuff too! So you're bad.
[One plus one equals two! Get with the program come on.]
Voice ((god the icon keywords continue to be so damn appropriate))
Voice ((hahaha mine are too))
[No further explanation. Just petulant contradiction.]
Voice
Have you considered how unfair it is that you are blaming me for things I don't know about? And if these are evil things, things I wouldn't even agree with?
I don't know who Zelda is, why would I want something from her? Why would she have anything to fear from me--not Ganondorf--me? If I did not know she existed until you mentioned her, how can I be the one who did things to her?
[You can't see it but he's gesturing around like a mofo.]
Voice
[For a moment it seems like maybe he's reverted back to monosyllabic retorts entirely, but this time he does speak up again after a brief second.]
I mean, you're gonna be Ganondorf, just like I'm Link now. You might think you're normal for now or whatever, but you're gonna get more stuff and so I have to keep an eye on you! It's my job.
[You can't see it, but that last sentence was punctuated with a proud little chest puff.]
Voice
So you admit that I am normal now.
Re: Voice
Nu-Uhh! I said you THINK you're normal. You're probably mean and have no friends cause everyone else can tell that you're secretly a bad guy.
Voice
Yelling at someone for doing something they haven't fixes nothing.
Explain this job you have to me.
Voice
So instead he'll just skip right ahead to that second part.]
I'm a hero! You're trying to take over the kingdom, so I have to help Princess Zelda stop you, but then you followed me- [WHOOP, HE ALMOST LET SLIP THAT YOU PULLED A FAST ONE ON HIM. That won't do at all. Mayday mayday, evasive maneuvers figure out something else to say.] -aaaaand then. I beat you! Cause the good guys always win.
[Nice recovery.]
Voice
Princess Zelda. Oh man, there's an actual memory to it now. A face. A blonde woman in a white and pink gown decked in gold. He'd finally found her. He knew she would slip up sometime, if he let this kid wander around...
Ghannam leans on the desk and holds his head, turning the memory over again and again. She looked...so scared. And he'd liked that. He'd liked how frightened she was because it meant she recognized his...power?
No. That wasn't him. It was someone else, someone he had no control over. None at all. Just an echo of a life already lived.
After several minutes, he finds his voice again.]
I don't want to take over anyone's kingdom. I have no reason to look for Zelda, except to maybe help you find her, now. If she is in danger.
If your goal is to keep me from being evil, then believe me when I say I do not want to be. You could help me, instead of yelling at me.
Voice
He turns the ocarina over in his hands a few times, taking some deep breaths and calming himself down. So when Ghannam's voice emerges from the flute again, Luke is significantly less enraged. He's surprised, and starts a little bit out of shock, but quickly clamps his hands securely over the ocarina once more and glares at it. Not that Ghannam can see it, but there's a little less vehemence in his eyes this time around. This time it's Luke's turn to let the silence drag on while he mulls over the situation. He considers the other's words
for the first time since meeting himand when he finally speaks it's in a significantly less ear-splitting volume.]...Fine. But I still don't trust you. And, and if you DO find Zelda stay away from her.
[There's almost an audible pout in his voice by the end there.]
Voice
Teenage or not, he honestly seemed like he was dealing with a much younger boy. He should continue being straight forward and playing to this 'hero job' thing.]
Thank you. I promise, I will stay away from Zelda.
Now...if you do help me, you should be encouraging me to do good things, not just yelling at me for the bad that's been done in the past.
Voice
[He doesn't quite yell that, but it's definitely quite a snappish reply. He knows he just agreed to let up a little on the condemnation front, but he can't help it. The idea of letting Ganondorf lecture him about what he should be doing is just so gross. And Luke really doesn't like that bossy tone. It's giving him the creeps.
Still. Even he can admit that the shouting had been getting them nowhere. And if Ganondorf really was agreeing to stay away from the princess, then maybe Luke could cut him some slack. He takes a deep breath and tries again.]
...Her name's Evelyn here. She was Zelda back in Hyrule. So. Stay away from Evelyns too.
