I got to thinking, there are a lot of us animals on this network. I think it would be good if we could all meet in person somehow.

[Even if the cat probably still wants to eat him.]

Being an intelligent animal can be hard if you want to stay one step ahead of the humans who might want to put you back in a zoo or something like that. There are things you need to keep in mind!

Plus, some of us have been intelligent for longer than others, and some of us might know things that others don't. We can share information on things we've figured out! Like I know how to ride the bus and to read maps. I can teach you in case you get lost! We should stick together and pool our resources!

The only problem is to figure out where and how to meet. We need a place to use as our base of operations! I'd volunteer Thomas's apartment, but I don't know how hard it would be for the horses to get into the building and use the elevator.

[Areonwen is back in said stable. Also, her mouth isn't moving, because you're all actually hearing her "spoken" thoughts inside your minds. Yeah. Luckily, the network seems to work like telesons (not that she knows what those are yet) for Mindspeech, so there isn't any emotional carryover with these thoughts. It really is just like speaking.]

Also, if someone could help teach me and whoever else that doesn't know how to interpret the human scratchings, that would be very useful. I know many people use them to communicate on here and I'm sure I must be missing a lot by not being able to tell what they mean yet.:

I know how to read! I'm still teaching myself the finer points, but I have dinosaur books, so it's a lot easier now since it's already things I know.

[ Animal body language tends to be universal, so she's hoping she can get away with talking through normal means. She's perfectly aware that reading and writing isn't a common skill among the animals.

She's sitting on her little pet bed as she emotes her message. Someone has to pull through, right?

I don't know! I haven't heard of anything like that happening yet, but I haven't been here very long.

I'm a bird who taught himself to read, successfully escaped the zoo, taught himself how to use public transportation, and found his own way to a natural history museum.

I think I may be qualified to set up a group.
