Who: Winter, Jasmine, and anyone who agreed to come here, as well as anyone who could have believably heard about it and wishes to celebrate Winter's birthday
When: December 29th, afternoon
Where: Winter's family's home
What: Someone's getting a surprise party
Jasmine had been working at it pretty hard for a week or so now, but it seemed like her efforts were largely about to pay off. She'd managed to get everyone on the same page, and a fair amount of people had come to hang out.
All that was needed now was the birthday girl to show up, and that was just a matter of waiting for Brittany to finish distracting her and getting her to the party itself.

[pre-party]
But really, when someone's happiness is on the line, the couple knew they had to work hard to make sure everything worked out okay. True, their familiarity with Winter was... vague. But she needed some cheering up! So her well-being had their undivided attention. After all, if they didn't work hard for another person's benefit, what would that make them? Maybe not monsters, but...
Well, it was what they believed anyway.]
Re: [pre-party]
[Jasmine is marching up to try and snatch the streamers from their hands]
Too much! Haven't you two ever heard of too much of a good thing?!
Re: [pre-party]
...No?
[pre-party]
[sighs]
They're covering everything. Take some down, alright? They're dominating the rest of the theme...
[pre-party]
[THIS IS CLEARLY IMPORTANT.]

And decorations.
And general layout management.
[GOSH, REALLY NOW. TOTAL DIFFERENCE. IT'S NOT LIKE THEY HAVE A STORE THAT NEEDS THAT SORT OF- oh wait.]
[pre-party]
In any case, please take them down.
[pre-party]
Completely different!
But we'll just start taking those down now.
[They spin around and start picking up the streamers.]

[and Jasmine is just going to go back to what she was doing]
Re: [pre-party]
[no. it's the fact that he recognizes them]
[he goes still in the middle of hanging up decorations and stares at them.]
How'd you guys get invited?! [aren't they a little old to be here?? AND A LITTLE WEIRD?]
Re: [pre-party]
This boy.... is not ringing any bells at all. But he seems friendly!]
We volunteered to help!
An acquaintance was in peril!
...Well, not really.
But she needed cheering up!
Right!

Wait--how do you guys know Winter?
[they might not recognize him, but they MIGHT recognize the headphones currently hanging around his neck. not earbuds--actual proper headphones, and a very distinct shade of green.]
[you know, like that girl on the bus had, with the green ipod to match.]

Well, I think we first met her when talking about Karson's deer.
Karson's terrifying deer.
I'm not getting into this again.
Fine! Then I guess we just saw her around every now and the-

[He quickly follows suit.]

Is there a problem here?

He's defending a jerk that abandons true friends!
We have to save him from her corruption!
Or from being abandoned himself!

Wh--hey! I--she-- [insert a bunch of flustered noises here while he tries and fails to get an actual sentence started. finally he throws his hands down at his sides with a frustrated growl]
