Um, so, yeah. I just spent forever looking back at this epic... network... thing, and I'm really confused and I kinda figured it was, like, a LARP or something at first, but that would make too much sense, right? And it's not that much weirder than a string of numbers I can't get out of my brain or a stupid kiddie lunchbox I found in the attic and now feel like it's my security blanket or something. So, like, tl;dr, this is a real thing, right, and I'm not crazy for going through the old stuff on here and NOT doing my homework? Cus much as I don't actually wanna read about a bunch of old timey English girls getting invited to dances, it's starting to look like that might be a way less lethal way to spend the night.

Don't listen to them. Homework is very important, especially if you actually want to keep up your grades. Though I do sympathize about English girls and dances.

My name is Mr. Lyall. In case you couldn't guess, I'm a teacher. Please tell me you aren't another one of my students wrapped up in this mess.

[Oh god. Not another one. It takes Lyall a beat to respond, as he has to scrub a hand through his hair despairingly first.]

I'm glad. I take it you like biology better than English? Dare I ask which of my students you are? :)

[He's not really feeling that happy face, Kurt.]

[It takes Lyall a minute to determine which class had a lab due tomorrow and who sat where in that class. Then he sighs, to himself, and types back:]

I think I know. I've never had a problem with your homework :)

I gave up on trying to hide my identity a long time ago, given how I kept giving it out either accidentally or in ignorance. Nothing seems to have come of it yet, but I approve of you wanting to be cautious.

If you want to talk about any of this in person, my classroom is always open.

[And yet, everyone has them-- especially about things like this awful network.]

Any day at lunch or after school for an hour, I'll be here :)
