Re: Group three: TANKS
But there was an undeniable desire burning inside her to be the conduit for that much pure power once again. She would be lying if she said she wasn't EAGER for a justified reason to use her one trick again. She had the Mini-Hakkero in her hand, and it was steaming slightly while lights flashed from within.
"NOW can I?"

Chris dodged and rolled, using her rockets to basically pinball careen off the walls. She was... getting pretty good at this, actually, using combinations of laser blasts from her hands and rocket blasts from her feet to maneuver herself through the air.
"You set off something like that and you'll get us all killed!"
She could tell that these stupid snakes were doing something to her head—to all their heads. It was just like that first statue in the Dead District, or the ones in the museum... a subliminal message. But this one was dead simple.
YOU CANNOT WIN.
She was trying to get past that, but frankly... her shots were going wild, and she was finding it hard to concentrate on anything but dodging.
"We can't beat 'em without a bigger group, and we can't set off any heavy weapons like that down here. Our job is to run interference so they can catch that sculptor guy! Stick to the plan!"

But without her Master Spark, Marisa can't do anything to these things. She's sure as hell not getting near enough to hit them with her broom, which is basically just a stick. At least she's gotten good enough at controlling it that she doesn't need a hand to hold on to it, it just floats along behind her wherever she goes.
Come to think of it, she's pretty sure even WITH Master Spark she couldn't beat these things. Victory felt totally out of reach. She settled for making faces at the snakes while backing up quickly so they couldn't smoosh her to goo.
