[Anthony had been waiting for a message tone or auto-responder when he hadn't been answered by a voice. He'd gone and said hello under assumption that someone was on the other end anyway when there hadn't been one. Lack of an acknowledgement gives him pause again. He's still getting accustomed to this super-network.]

... If it's no trouble to ask, is - can it be that I received this number by mistake?

[Momentary pause as he mulls over whether or not the statement was sufficiently loaded. He seems to have connected to something, somehow. The number was too strange and too long to have just been guessed or dialed sheerly be accident - so whoever this number could reach would surely know that he'd received it in a strange way, not with a note or message that could've been mis-delivered. And maybe that "vision" that he'd seen, then, also could've been meant to have been planted in someone else's head. Somehow.]

If you can't answer that - I'm sorry to bother you with it.

In any case, I'll wait to hear back from you... Anything. [Thinking fast to decide that he should've included this - it'd sure help him find out whether or not this was a mistake!:] My name is Anthony Janvier. Thank you.

[Sadly, someone here recognizes both voice and name. There's a sigh in your biology teacher's voice, Anthony.]

Mr. Janvier. Good to hear from anther familiar voice on this thing.

[Except it's really, really not. Why do his students keep showing up here? It makes him fret, Anthony. Fret!]

[And Anthony thinks he recognizes the voice back - in spite of the twinge of surprise at being called a "familiar voice".]

[He sounds a bit tired, to be honest. This whole thing is exhausting, and he's tired of trying to sort out all the new scents.]

[Apart from confusion, and mounting worry - still more about the numbers than that vision. He can't even clearly process this enough to think into how Mr. Lyall could've "accidentally broadcasted" class notes.]

What is this number for?

As far as anyone knows, connecting to this confusing sort of network, or to contact each other directly by something other than a phone. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to who received it, though I know several of the people who have.

[Which, he thinks, is turning out to be a bit unusual.]

[Pause.] How did you receive it... if - it's not wrong of me to ask?

[Oh, Anthony. He totally understands the nervousness. This is indeed pretty weird.]

It simply appeared in my head a few days ago, after I bought a blank book. Yourself?

At the same time, I had an odd... thought. So I was confused, on whether or not - I read it, or thought it, too.

[Lyall thinks he can read between the lines on that one, particularly after his evening out with Fay.]

You are not the only one, I believe. Others have had strange thoughts, even visions, ever since this began.

[He doesn't share his own, at the moment. He's a teacher. He needs to have some authoritative distance. For now, anyway.]

So that's not a strange thing to call it. That fits better than "thought."

I think so, too. Someone else I know is calling it a memory, but that would require having experienced the events in question.
