[When Gavin opens the video this time, he looks tired. His eyes are dark and he keeps rubbing them, and he has his hood pulled up to cover the top of his head. He smiles though, as usual;]

Hey guys, I guess it's been a while since I updated, so here you go. I've been looking into the Echo history and plotting out what I could, but it's still pretty random. I know, almost everyone told me it was stupid, but I'm not going to give up. I want to go explore that tower again with someone soon, if anyone is interested. I went by myself last time, but I have a feeling it'll be more dangerous now.

Anyway... I know I'm not the only one but--

[He pulls his hood back, revealing about two inches of blond roots growing in where it would usually be very dark brown.]

Any idea if this'll dye? Or am I stuck getting dumber?

Action, 8:47PM

[Gavin can be found later in the grocery store near his apartment. He has some (snack) food in his basket already, and some other things he needed, but now he's standing in the box hair dye aisle and feeling a little awkward. He's never colored his hair before, and he's never bought hair dye either-- it wasn't that it was girly, that didn't bother him, he just didn't know where to start.]

I don't know how to explain the sudden change, though! A bunch of the old ladies at work are going to ask when I show up blond. My eyebrows are already pale too, it's kind of an issue.

Oh, that's easy! You just say you've got a crush on someone who likes blondes better! They'll figure it out!

Sure it will! It's believable enough, and they shouldn't think on it for too long!

I guess you're right, they can only harp about it for a little while. I can't wear my hood up for work anyway.

Exactly! Easier just to pretend it's normal than to make a big deal over it and go through a lot of trouble to change it!
