Hey guys, I guess it's been a while since I updated, so here you go. I've been looking into the Echo history and plotting out what I could, but it's still pretty random. I know, almost everyone told me it was stupid, but I'm not going to give up. I want to go explore that tower again with someone soon, if anyone is interested. I went by myself last time, but I have a feeling it'll be more dangerous now.

Anyway... I know I'm not the only one but--

[He pulls his hood back, revealing about two inches of blond roots growing in where it would usually be very dark brown.]

Any idea if this'll dye? Or am I stuck getting dumber?

[Gavin can be found later in the grocery store near his apartment. He has some (snack) food in his basket already, and some other things he needed, but now he's standing in the box hair dye aisle and feeling a little awkward. He's never colored his hair before, and he's never bought hair dye either-- it wasn't that it was girly, that didn't bother him, he just didn't know where to start.]

[Having an extended commute to work is always boring, not that she would turn down jobs based on that. At times like that it's good to have a smartphone. Today, she has a commute of almost one hour, and decided to try out this number that seems to be stuck in her head as of lately. From some commercial, probably... is what she thought. Scrolling around has been vaguely enlightening, and she isn't sure what to think about the whole thing, but it hasn't been particularly entertaining or made the network sound useful.

So she decided to make it entertain her. Trolling people under the thin disguise of trying to help should work. Not that she is particularely invested in either aspect.]

Dumbness usually starts with the dick in guys. Have you checked your coloration there yet?

Ah, you know, someone else and I have been looking into the Echoes too. Have you seen the chart?

An Echo is what puts us on the Network. You know, you have your ten numbers you can't forget, right? Something must have happened to trigger that-- a memory that wasn't yours, or something you found that feels right when you hold it. That sort of thing.

It's an Echo, or a Pulse, of your "past life," or at least that's what a lot of people on here think at least.

That's what the Network is for.

The google doc? I think so, I've been back logging the Network for days doing my own data plot on what I can make out of people's Echos. I don't write down any personal information, just time and dates and anything that's related.

My eyebrows have already gone, so I don't know how I'll explain it at work, but I'd rather not look like I have bad bleached hair-- it's just growing in like this.

I figured there might be something like that... I have to commute a couple blocks away from the tower to work though, so I can get a couple glimpses of what's going on. The buzzing is worse there... haha, obviously I guess, and the people not on the Network are zoning out even more often and longer down there.

I don't understand how this isn't a mass panic situation for people living on the outskirts of the city yet who aren't as affected, but I guess the police and everything have the media locked up tight now too after the pictures of the water were leaked.

Organizing an inconspicuous group would be ideal though, just to check it out-- an older lady and a kid, or a group posing as a family, that kind of stuff. There's shops down there too, you know.

But then-- I guess they'd know anyway since we wouldn't zone out. It's ...problematic.

This is just something that interests me.

It's pretty much like a movie, the regular civilians are oblivious save Our Hero-- which would be all of us, at this point. I'm still not throwing out the Matrix hypothesis. Except people can really get hurt in real life, so I'm not expecting anyone to want to go with me.
