001 [network; text] → after school

You people talk about some of the most dull stuff, you know that? Obviously this is some kinda online message board, right? Ugh, it’s like those personal lifejournals that no one actually cares about or reads but literally this place is a hub for old people to talk about each other’s lives. (;¬_¬) Gross, why care about real life? Real life blows.

I’ve never heard of an entire city with an internet chat board but whatever (sounds like you're a bunch of pedophiles to be honest.) Gotta keep those mean, judgmental, normal people out, right? Ha—

Enough boring life garbage, talk about something entertaining… like anime. Yeah, anime, let’s talk about anime. Not fucking cartoons either I mean Japanese animation, it’s 110% superior in every way. It’s mature and for adults, obviously a good way to suck up your time since you all seems so lost about your lives. Better than all that American TV shit that goes to waste by the 3ed season, how do people watch that stuff? It’s so laaammmmeeee..

Anyway, currently, I’m re-watching a classic k-OFF! by KyoAni and playing the new Tiny Monsters on my 3DS. We can exchange friend codes if you want, more safari friends for me.

(^-^*)/ If anyone wants to talk about mecha or moe anime it's my life, I've watched just about every single anime about giant robots there is!

[Look at all that rude sass, wouldn’t you know it’s coming from a newly transferred thirteen year-old boy. He’s a smart kid, after poking around and lurking a bit he’s figured out mostly how this network things works (people don’t give kids these days any credit for just how tech savvy they are.) Jamie feels most confident behind his computer so most of his venting happens over his bully of an internet personal, far too shy to speak so vividly in real life…

Unless it’s of course about anime, he knows everything about anime, video games, and glorious Japan so don’t even think you got one over him on that, no sir.]

[ Oh boy. ]

You like robots, huh?
argents: (your loneliness)

[ Meanwhile, he's been trying to study to no avail and finds Skype calls on the network easier. It sounds ridiculous and mostly like hot air, but he thinks he's seen just about every reaction possible by now. He's never been good at talking down to people, anyway.

And hey, truth was stranger than fiction, nowadays.
]

I don't remember very much about the ones I used to watch. Which were your favorites? The robots, I mean.
argents: ('cause we both know)

(ooc. you're totally cool with expies! it's great)

I think that's one I never watched. Here, want to take a look at something —

[ A sound like carding through papers while he switches his number over to a drawing someone did for him, making it appear via network. ]

Familiar at all?
argents: (i hear the songs)

[personal profile] argents 2013-10-28 06:26 am (UTC)(link)
[ Oh. Man he's so excited, he even went to scan his drawings... well, he figures whoever's on the other end has already gotten enough flack, so he goes along without much fuss, continuing to handwrite: ]

Hey, that's great. You sound like you know a lot more about this than I do, so it looks like I was right to ask. I thought it maybe looked like a Go-Bot, but it was a lot bigger.

BIG-TOE was pretty cool though.

[ Because he's actually seen that one. Adamgelion managed to get away from him... ]
argents: that bind us together, forever. (why are you my clarity?)

I was always more of a retro cartoon person! I didn't start thinking about robots a lot until the numbers happened.

[ Though the white and red robot on the page was pre-drawn, another drawing crops up out of nowhere. A less impressive robot, in fact. ]
argents: that bind us together, forever. (in your eyes)

Serves me right for not liking them sooner. And this one, here

[ He circles the chibi one for effect. ]

He's real.

[ Well, so is the other one, but he doesn't want the kid to short circuit or think he's just been facetious this whole time. ]
argents: (and what you lost)

He talks! And asks questions, and gets kind of sassy sometimes actually. But he won't dance or ride a bicycle or babysit like the ones in Japan do.

I think. I haven't really asked him yet.

[ nts ask Haro if he knows his own specs. ]
argents: (their own grave)

[personal profile] argents 2013-11-05 09:16 pm (UTC)(link)
[ He'd argue that it's not technically the internet, but he also doesn't know this self-proclaimed mecha buff is 13. But he's going to need every bit of help he can get, and beggars can't be choosers... ]

Here you go. [ He scraps the paper and goes back to his phone, opening up a one-way Skype call. The video steadies on the little green basketball robot, who just sits there for a second. ]

Go on, Haro. You're not shy, so don't even pretend.

[ And true to form, he flaps a few times, red eyes lighting up.

Not shy! Not shy! Hello!
]
argents: (i hear the songs)

[personal profile] argents 2013-11-11 02:02 am (UTC)(link)
[ In direct response, Haro tilts of his own accord, seeing has Banagher has his phone.

Jamie! Nice to meet you! Nice to meet you!
]

See? I'm not really sure why he repeats things, but he understands everything pretty well.
