Hey. I’ve been reading up on this place for a day or so now, I would think it was some elaborate university project if it wasn’t so detailed.

We had to make a programme for my coding class in uni but I never finished it. No wonder I barely got through it with a credit. Anyway, it’s pretty interesting.

Definitely something to spend my time on when work’s slow. The whole thing about past lives isn’t something I ever took into consideration and even then, these “Echoes” and “Pulses” people are talking about are strange.

All I did was find a ring, where’s the logical reasoning in that? It’s a common enough object to find in any time period, how do I know it wasn’t meant for someone else?

[There’s a pause in his typing as he take a call, but he comes back right afterward.]

Anything is better than sitting around in a cubicle though. I’m all for life changing phenomenon.

Somehow, it's even more complicated than "past" lives. You might find out why that ring is important to you later on though.

I hope I can, it's so weird. I've never seen metal like it before. At least, I think it's metal.

It sounds crazy, I know, but sometimes we can get things back without remembering what they're for, or why we have them. Or had them, I guess.

Can I ask what it looks like? No markings or anything?

It's a lot lighter than it looks too, so it isn't onyx.

Lighter...then it probably can't be steel either. The kind with iron oxides on the outside, you know?

At least it's not something that looks like it came out of Captain Planet.

Who knows? I might have the Power of ... hm, what's the opposite of Heart? Assuming black is a negative color and all.

No way! That'd be so cool, if it went underground and everything. I'd owe you one.

Now that you mention it, it really would. We're supposed to be looking /underneath/ Locke for something right now, after all.

Right. I wonder if someone realistically has access to that sort of thing?

Maintenance guys, maybe? Like for the sewers, or subways. If we assume it's underneath the city somewhere...

[ Whatever 'it' is... ]

The sewer would make sense, hopefully there's nothing radioactive there, though. I'm just starting to deal with the fact I was reincarnated, I don't want to be a ninja turtle too.

I still don't know about reincarnation, even thinking about all of this, but I think I'll pass on radiation too. Who knows which one of us is ready to turn out like Godzilla.

Godzilla! Just imagine if you did, though? A giant 60M tall monster...

I think everyone would pass on radiation. Did you know in the 50s and 60s they painted "will not turn you into a super hero" on waste buckets to keep kids from getting into them?

That says a lot that they were just sitting around waiting for kids to get into them though.

Who knows, with the Echo thing radiation might just give us more powers...

Not that I'll be the one to test it.

I wouldn't want to be first in line for that either. Alien water and pink lights are already way more than enough for me.

The Orson Welles thing! With War of the Worlds, and stuff like that, it's not that weird to think about kids believing in comic books. Getting superpowers from radiation like the Fantastic Four. Our case is just

special?

We're our own comic book. Or Godzilla movie, whichever you feel like most. (My vote's for Thundercat though.)

I often feel pizza on a spiritual level, but lately it's been betraying me. The work cafeteria used to have supreme every day but it's only plain cheese lately.

I have to say Thundercats.
