*The newest network post appears to be on looseleaf, with the margins decorated with stylized crosses, swirls, and a doodle of some kind of mysterious blob monster eating a stick figure helpfully labelled as an LCA chem teacher. The notes on it are as follows.*
poetry

Darkest Shadow
When I walk to the edge of the world, I see
all over that the universe is a bright and dark thing,
like Mercury (is it Mercury? whichever planet is only really hot on one side and really cold on the other because of the sun. I believe it is Mercury. Check later.)
like Mercury or a magnet or a heater that doesn't work.
And in the darkest side, the half,
you have the lonely shriveled plants
no petals
justthors thorns and thistles.
All bear their misery lonely,
believing that love is a lie
a trick of the nonexistent light
as they are crushed
under theweight mass.
*Underneath she's drawn a stick figure flailing for help under a pile of textbooks.*
Note to self. Go to mall later. Think they got new CDs in.

okay fine The Truth
This is the Network. We don't know how it works. All of us are being affected by some crazy multiversal rift... thing... that's causing us to get visions from other people's lives, and sometimes physical changes or new skills. It's REALLY RANDOM. Because of that though we're the only people who know about who we're calling mostly The Enemy or The Gardeners. They're trying to kill every last human on the planet. They want to kill us because we can tell what they're doing and their magic brainwashing shit doesn't work on us.
On the bright side you get superpowers. On the downside, everything else.
They've got the police force and Thunder Corp working for them. Avoid those. The tap water's been poisoned to make people who get the Echoes -- those memories -- and who can see the network start giggling like morons. We're working on sabatoging that.
My name is Chris. I am a huge asshole with strong feelings about planets and poor tolerance for poetry. I am slowly turning into a robot.
Bam.

All right. I would generally have trouble believing all this, and to tell the truth, I still do, but I also have trouble believing what's happening to my binder, and that's certainly an actual thing that's going on. Um... hello. I'm Tessa.
