Welcome back :) The experience of leaving the city and then coming back is very strange, isn't it? I had the same problem visiting my parents. At least I knew I *had* to come back.
In case no one has warned you yet, don't drink the tap water. Or anything made with the tap water. It makes one laugh uncontrollably, and might just get you arrested.

Well, my home is quite far away. But better safe than sorry, I suppose.
I did. Some catching up with old friends, colleagues, and there was a young lad who decided I would be a wonder to interview for a book report.
