Who: Aeron and anyone who wanted to recover in his flat!
What: The trap has been sprung and now a good number of them are in need of medical attention
Where: Aeron's flat
When: After the sage meeting goes wrong

How they all make it back to his flat without getting stopped along the way is a mystery to Aeron, but he's not going to complain. The loss of blood is already starting to make him lightheaded, and he isn't sure he has enough wits about him to walk in a straight line, let alone talk his way out of a situation.

Ironically, he does remember that blood doesn't wash out easily and directs a worried Emery over to the cabinets for the towels to drape over the carpet. Soon they have a makeshift first-aid area--and all they need now is a doctor.

[ And Emery is worried, but not about the carpets or the state of the flat. He's worried about Aeron; worried about the colossal clusterfuck that was the Sage's trap. He keeps trying to tell Aeron to sit still, to let him do the running around while he rests, because in truth? Em is frightened. He's never seen his flatmate looks so pale. While the majority of his bleeding has stopped Emery's not entirely convinced he's out of danger just yet; ]

Aeron?

[ A concerned frown creases his brow as he moves towards him, a damp cloth in hand just in case. ]

How are you feeling?

[ His tone may be soft but his resolve is strong as steel. Emery isn't going to let him suffer any more tonight — nor anyone else, for that matter, if there's anything he can do to help. It's at times like this that he wishes his "gift" could be used for something more meaningful than floating his paints from room to room. ]

I can get you some water, if you like.

Alexander isn't in need of medical attention, but he definitely doesn't want to return to his apartment tonight. Part of it is a selfishness two fold on his end-- he doesn't want his roommate to notice the porcupine-like injuries dotting his body, nor does he want to lead the 'enemy' to him, if such a worry were even valid. In the end, he'd rather crash at someone else's place and explain it away later if prompted and Aeron had volunteered. No harm, no foul in his mind. Mostly.

He'd followed Aeron in his truck. Whoever else had accompanied them had been free to catch a ride with him.

In their little make-shift first aid area, Alex kneels beside Aeron and starts checking his condition. If Aeron is hypovolemic, he's going to want to take him to the ER or call Strider or Solus. Minor hypovolemia would be easy to treat enough, though.

[ Emery moves to sit cross-legged as the man — Alex, he's heard his name a couple of times since they arrived back — checks Aeron over for injuries. He handles him with the same kind of professional touch he'd expect from a nurse or doctor, and while he tries to keep quiet, for the most part, he can't help but ask a question every now and then. What harm can it do? ]

You're a doctor?

[ By now Emery is wringing the cloth between his fingers. He barely notices his white-knuckle grip, though, because his attention is entirely on Aeron, but it soon flickers across to offer Alex an apologetic little smile. He may be tired and worried but his eyes are as sharp as ever. ]

... Ah, sorry, I don't think we were properly introduced. I'm Emery.

They tend to take a backseat in these kind of situations. Proper introductions, [ he clarifies, smiling briefly, though he doesn't take his eyes off of what he's doing. ] Alex. Not a doctor, just a paramedic. If he hasn't gone into shock, then he might be all right taking it easy here.

The sounds of soft, but ragged coughing reverberates around a small part of the room as Regina trudges inside with her shoulders squared, chin slightly raised up to give off the illusion that she's unaffected by what just happened. This would've worked fine and all... if not for the coughs she just released, effectively making her shoulders droop while she quickly covers her mouth in a slight clasp. Combined with the makeshift bandages using ripped cloth from her shirt and pants, now caked with dirt and blood—

Let's just say Regina does not look too good. Boy, oh boy. At least she did the sensible thing (in her mind) and followed Aeron and the others to a safe place — far, far away from the dangers that transpired back in the mines. She can't see herself explaining to her brother's friends on the mess she'd gotten herself into; worried gazes boring into her be damned.

A frown forms on her lips as she flops down on her seat, sighing heavily as she rakes a hand through her messy brown hair, flicking her wary amber eyes across the room to see if she spots anyone she deems familiar enough for her attention.

"I really need to get these cleaned up," she mutters with slight sharpness in her tone, too focused on the covered gash in her left arm to notice her words are audible enough for someone to hear. "Now if only I get some decent bandages around here."

Blinking, Regina turns her head once she spots Aeron sitting next to her, and a flash of gratitude is in her gaze, which lasts for a few seconds before appearing neutral. She slowly reaches for the box of first-aid kits, then nods in acknowledgement.

"Oh, thanks," she said, tugging at the now dirty rag wrapped around her arm, then purses her lips. "You sure come prepared at a time like this, especially when more people might be arriving soon."

Truthfully, she expects the room to be packed with the injured and bleeding after the violent commotion courtesy of the Vermedi. Right now, though, the stench of blood is pungent enough to crinkle her nose.

"A pharmaceutical company, you mean?" she asks in a slight eyebrow raise, quirking her head to one side with a curious expression on her face. "It may not be much to you, but it's something at least."

'Better to come prepared at all times than to arrive empty-handed,' Regina thinks to herself as searches for the box for a roll of gauze, then pulls it out with one hand. The bruises on Aeron don't escape her notice, prompting her to frown lopsidedly. He must've put on a long fight with either the bats or the Vermedi to obtain them, at least according to her observations.

"You should get some ice for those bruises," she stated in a warning tone, shifting her eyes to one side with the box in her hand. Sure she doesn't really know the person next to her, but a warning or two can't hurt, can it?
