[the first thing that appears is a very elegant string of Japanese kanji. someone obviously doesn't give a fuck about this network's language abilities]
This is a literacy test. Do you pass?
[and then it (fortunately for you non-speakers) switches over to English before continuing onward]
An access code leading me to a secret forum? How quaint. I was almost expecting to be given a decoder ring for my troubles - or should I be expecting one in the mail now that I've made my presence known here?
But I suppose that doesn't matter very much. From what I've seen this board is filled with absolutely fascinating people of the highest intellectual caliber. I can see why we've all been thrown together here; every discussion I've seen has been absolutely riveting.
Hopefully my own contribution will be able to hold up to the impossible standards of my fellow readers. Prepare yourself, I'm about to launch the conversation topic!
How many of you are familiar with the Lolita style of fashion?

[whatever man, she dun curr]
I'm certain that as soon as I see something worth being taken seriously I will give it all due consideration. I'd hate to disrespect a solemn moment.

[a pause, then a groan;] The fish guy's nonsense facebooky crap notwithstanding.
You're irritating.

[she's not the best at empathy, if it isn't already abundantly clear here]
As I don't particularly care about whatever befalls the other users of this little network, I don't see why I shouldn't use it however I see fit to amuse me. It isn't as if the numbers came with an instruction booklet.

[SORE SPOT HIT]
You should just fuck off, then. Go get yourself killed by a damn hair monster for all I care. It's what someone so cold deserves!

[being called names and told to die is basically Hikari's benchmark for a job well done. she has no intention of being dumb enough to get trapped by these stupid monsters as (in her head) she's more than capable of avoiding them, so she's entered full Deal With It mode]

I may be a lot of bad things, but unreliable will never be one of them. Not even sure what that has to do with what we were talking about anyway! Besides, I don't care about what some lolita has to say. Anyone who thinks that petticoats and lace are still fashionable in this day and age clearly has her head stuck up her ass. It'a hard to run from monsters in heels.
Ah, you'll see. And then I'll get to say "I told you so". Maybe I'll even bring you a black rose at the hospital.

[he does sound a bit concerned, now, though; she's really not taking this seriously at all] But really. Be careful. Just being part of this stupid numbers club makes you a target. You'll see things other people don't. And those things see YOU, too. They also typically have sharp claws and very bad attitudes. [Kind of like yours, Hikari. But with actual bite]

Really, though, being granted preternatural vision is the least of my problems at the moment. I have no intention of throwing myself headlong into dangerous situations, and if anything provisionally visible is interested in changing that then it's going to be met with severe disappointment.
[she just ain't got time for fighting monsters when her academic dominance still needs to be fought for]
