[plot] Invasion: Day 3.2
Who: EVERYONE + Returnees
What: Day 3.2 of the Invasion!
Where: UP INTO THE SKY AND BEYOND
When: ICLy: The 1st of May! OOCly: May 16th to May 21st!

The Central info post
Description: People will get to space either with a spaceship flown by one of the characters who were clued in by Badri (though they can of course pass their knowledge on further) OR by their own means - magical girls who are space compatible, someone's own starship, mechas, etc.
They will get to a place where they will encounter more enemies, so combat types must come along - but they are not the ones who will define how this turns out. Those who will define how this turns out are others. A number of other abilities need to be combined, and a number of people that may have combat powers but don't have to must combine their forces here:
- Any characters dare to talk to the Enemy peacefully and alone, though children, animals (or people with animal companions) or grandparent types have a bonus. Important is that these characters are not initially aggressive or condescending towards the Enemy.
- The Cures with their purification powers, and any character with similar powers.
- People who belong to one of the following groups and will tell of their "field": Gardeners or people who otherwise have a strong connection to earth and nature/environmentalists; artists (especially musicians); religious persons with an inclusive approach; people who feel a strong, healthy and friendly love for another person, be it romantic or otherwise.
What this day is for: Invading the aliens' home base. Everything else that happens on Day 3 should take place in the Day 3.1 post.
How this works:
- Day 3.2 continues what happened in Day 3.1 and the days before and includes the counterinvasion. If you have any questions, please as them here!
- There will be toplevels on this post for encounters with The Boy and for general alien territory exploration. Please start your own threads freely in reply to those toplevels or to the post, if your thread doesn't fit any toplevel! Please format the subject line like this: "Location(s)/Network | ota/closed/etc". Please keep in mind that each character may change location twice per day (= a maximum of three different locations) and that day 3.1 and 3.2 are the same day.
- Fighters whose muns aren't interested in the fight/explore option can go straight after the boy, too, if they can ICly justify their character doing that! But there are also chances for Boy encounters in the fight/explore option.
- This post can be used for both network and action threads.
- Keep in mind that returnee characters must have checked in and must request their echoes if they get any.

He sits down where he is, and over his shoulder they can see a bit of green. bushes and trees and grass. A large teddy that is sitting close by is pulled into his lap and he rests his head on the bear's, peering at them with his chin tucked in against the fake fur.

...what's behind the kid, though? Winter's mildly curious, but considering that someone had to design this space, she has a feeling she hasn't been given permission to stand yet. No sense in losing the minimal goodwill she'd been shown by not being killed already.

"We had to fight our way through to get here. Our... friends are fighting now."
Others had come this way too, though. Where were they? Where's Rakka?
"We didn't want any of that. We never wanted to do anything that would hurt anyone, so... can we talk?"

The rest, though... interesting. Despite herself, Winter's intrigued. Two years ago... the sage they'd spoken to suddenly felt a lot less like a trap, somehow. Everything's starting to fall together. The doppelgangers, the Animals, the reincarnates themselves... everything that exists to fight the aliens, is from her. From Earth itself, and the entity watching and acting on her behalf.
"I am a child of loving parents... and a child of Earth. Two years ago, I got my Numbers, and took up the torch of fighting her battle. Even if I didn't know it at the time. We didn't know anything." This. This is why. She had seen something like this coming, and called on the only powers she had. Winter, and Lily, and Banagher, and Toushirou, and... everyone. Everyone Winter's ever cared about.
"Who's in your world? Am I in your world? Or are her children different?"

"Two years ago, I- all of us... We didn't know anything about this. Everyone went about their normal lives. We didn't ask to fight for her, but we have to do, so that we can protect what we love. Who we love. I never would have lifted to finger to hurt another person... but those who would do us harm came for us first."
She heaves a sigh, fronting. "Even now though, even after all I've seen... I still don't wish to hurt anyone."

Outside of the tent, the light dims. A storm is approaching, the wind starting to tear at the blanket over their heads. He shakes his head abruptly and frowns.
"So she somehow hid others from me that never became a part of her. But you still lived with her. And then you fight for her anyway.
...You said you didn't know about anything just two years ago. Do you know anything about her now?"

-no, that's not important. Not now, not here. Not when the world is... starting to tear apart around them? Wait, that's a storm. This place won't hold if it gets as bad as it's starting to look. In a way, she's glad she's still transformed, in case something untoward happens. Cure Diamond can take a lot more than Winter Adamas can. And being like this still helps to bolster her confidence, at least a little. Squeezing Lily's hand, her tone runs a little firmer.
"I'm not... part of her, and I don't know her. Not that I'm aware of, at least. She's given me this power, sure. But it, and my will, are mine to use as I please. Don't misunderstand me - I'm not fighting her battle because I think it's the right thing to do. I'm fighting for her because it's a means to protect the people I care about." Without really paying attention, she shifts closer to Cure Moonlight, as she keeps talking. "I don't know anything. We never truly understood what was going on, not until it was too late, and I still don't know anything about her. But... there's one thing I'm sure of. She gave me these powers to protect her. To protect my home, and my friends. To protect everyone.
"That's why I came up here," she goes on, getting into a groove. There's no time to be scared. There's too much at stake. "The others on the surface, that were willing to talk... they gave me hope that we can end this. Without any more bloodshed. Nobody else... nobody else has to die!"
She doesn't want to plead. But if that's what it takes, she will throw away as much dignity as it takes. Her world, and every person on it, is depending on her. She can deal with anything that is required of her, if it means keeping her home safe.

"We never truly, fully understood what was going on. As far as any of us were concerned... We were fighting for our survival. Even against the things that were supposed to protect us. We didn't know better. We couldn't. We had people, and lives we needed to protect, and so... That's what we did."
She lets out a small sigh. "Whomever she is, that's always been less important than protecting those things. Because the most important things has been... Our love for our families. Our friends. For... the ones we want to spend the rest of our lives with." She passes an unconscious look towards Diamond for a moment, before continuing. "But we need lives to live. So if we can settle this peacefully, we... want to do that. We want to understand what's happening. We just... want peace."

At some point during Winter's words there is a ...shift, something changing around them though everything stays as it is, or almost - the sounds outside of the tent slowly abate, the wind quieting down a bit, and while Lily speaks all sound turns into rain. It doesn't come through the blanket, though, it seems to be waterproof.
"You are sad when your families and friends die?"
